We came for dinner around eight and the restaurant was already almost full. A very friendly and multilingual waiter informed us that the restaurant specialises in sea food and their surprise menu changes weekly. We had three options to choose from: 3, 5 or 7 course meal. We opted for the 3-course set and were asked if there was something... More

Service - very professional but no authenticity Décor - impeccable but no cachet Food - lots of tastes but no root references Price - it is pricy with limited choice of wines by glass

At Cecila reservations are a must. They do only one seating and the restaurant is very intimate, so plan ahead. A cold course is served, then a hot. Both will be fish and there is no menu. You will be at the mercy of the chef. Don't hesitate! The food was outstanding.

With so many tourists in Brussels it is sometimes difficult to get a table at one of the gastro venues. So it was with great delight that we discovered this relatively new restaurant - even more surprised to find it in the tourist trap area around Grand Place. Cecila is a small intimate restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly... More

I always select a unique dining experience for Thanksgiving, and this year I selected Cecila based on TA. What a wonderful night! Granted there was no turkey, but I would rather have seafood any day! I opted for the five course menu, which allowed me to sample the different styles of the chef. Boy did I choose correctly! An amuse... More

A fairly new restaurant in the center of Brussels. The day we went they had just changed their menu options so that we could choose between a 3- or 5-course menu. We chose the 5-course menu and the food was excellent. I had a great experience and the chef really has talent when it comes to combining unusual flavors. One... More

Good cosy atmosphere, in this new and upcoming location in Brussels. Set seasonal menu, that in our case started with marinated mackerel, a parsnip creme, some great scallops a wonderful magret de canard, all of the dishes with small garnishes that really helped the main flavour. Good wine selection, and all in all a fair price, but not definitely the... More

What would you do if you had to choose between a foreign person who has duly booked and ten new customers? Economically speaking there's no doubt: most of the outside restaurateurs would go for ten. Easy! Mrs Englebin has gone for an ethical decision: me. She decides to respect me in a way that I haven't seen in the past... More

This small, cute restaurant just off the Grand Place specializes in 4-course surprise menus. Portions were small but flavorful, well-prepared, and artistically presented. We had an amuse bouche of tuna tartare, appetizers of shrimp and chicken, main courses of fish with small whipped potato dollops and vegetable, and desserts of chocolate mousse, apple pastry, and caramel cream. The overall experience... More

Salmon super fresh, and I come from Scandinavia, so had quite some salmon in my life. Also deserts worth not skipping. Lovely little place for a romantic dinner.
