On passing this shop, I was gob-smacked and couldn't walk on without entering it. I was extremely impressed to see the variety of colorful and artistically created pastries being sold; I wanted to try them all. Furthermore, the price was very affordable and the shop owner truly pleasant and friendly.

There is much more to Belgium than just its beers & chocolates. The artistry & diversity of flavor we found in this delightful shop are a portal into the cultural diversity of Belgium. Craftsmanship, presentation & service are equally superb.

Rose de Damas is a wonderful middle eastern pastry shop near the Grand Place in Brussels Belgium. The beautiful displays of their different offerings will pull you in the front door. We are US expats who live nearby and stop by at least once a week for a few treats or dessert. Midi is one of the owners and over... More

Good quality and wide selection of good quality Syrian sweets. Pomegranate and pistachio lokum, rose petal pastries, lots of syrup-soaked fried-dough, pate de fruit...

Enticing, fantastically displayed exotic sweets in the shop window drew me into this shop, where I could not resist buying a few samples to sustain me through a cold day in Brussels. I bought some to take home, and surprisingly a few of them made it with me back to Durham!

Walking around the Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium, many, many things try to catch the unassuming tourists eye and dollar. Rose de Damas doesn't do it with flashing lights or waiters herding you into a table. All it does is stack its beautifully colorful and masterfully crafted pastries into equally impressive ordered fashions in the window. Once we saw the... More

I took advantage of a Groupon coupon and bought a kilo of some of the best oriental pastries I have ever tasted. The staff prepared the two boxes so we did not have a choice but there was not one disappointment in the lot - each one was better than the next. We cant wait to go back for more.... More

More of a sweet shop than a restaurant but some amazing cakes. Broad selection from very sugary to more savoury and nutty things. Staff very helpful in explaining what each was. Great snack at the end of an evening in Brussels centre.

Impossible to miss the splendid display of "Pâtisseries Orientales" when you pass by. Very difficult to resist the temptation of trying each of the beautifully presented cakes. It was after dinner time, but I had not had a dessert... So we popped in. I asked if it was okay to buy only one cake: "Of course it is" was the... More

We almost walked right past the store this morning but we stopped to admire first the colors, then the ingredient combinations of the items in the window. Then we realized that we had put the Rose de Damas on our Tripadvisor Save list. The Almond and Raspberry with Dark Chocolate top and bottom layers was excellent. We also shared a... More
