Better than chocolate and waffles

I am Armenian who knows a lot about good pastries;-) I would never expect to see a store like that in Brussels. The store has a huge variety from different parts of the Middle East. I tried as many pieces as I could. Every piece has its own unique taste and beautifully done. The owner was a very... read more

Strollng with my friend aong Rue du Marche Aux Herbes and started to pass this shop until we looked in their window. Sheer artistry! We had to go in and were so glad we did! The owner was extremely hospitable and enthusiastic about his pastries, and he was generous about urging us to try some samples. I bought a box... More

This little shop is an absolute delight. On Rue du Marche Aux Herbes, 19 it's a real treasure. Unless you've been to Turkey you've never seen sweets like these. Some look like sea creatures, some like alien beings, and all are absolutely delicious. The staff was willing to hand out samples for tasting and there are so many fun choices... More

There are numerous patisseries in Brussels, as well as shops and stands that focus on waffles, both hot with toppings and waffles that are predone. Rose De Damas Patisserie Mediterrane stands out for doing Middle Eastern style pastries (think baklava on LSD) and providing an array of options that is simply amazing. They are as much fun to look at... More

The food here is absolutely delicious and there are so many selections. I brought a big box home to share with friends and family. They all requested more and when I contacted Rose de Damas, they were very nice and helpful about shipping to the United States. It is a beautiful shop with so many different and unique pastries to... More

In a town filled with chocolate (for the most part overhyped) this excellent middle eastern pastry shop is unexpected but amazing.

Beautiful Middle Eastern pastries, baklava and sweets. So much to try, impossible to choose just a few. Staff friendly and reasonable prices.

Amazing pastries, the friendliest customer services. This is a family owned patisserie and its obvious that all of the pastries are made right there with love. I have tried baklava from all over the world and there's is absolutely one the best. The minute you walk in the door, you will be overwhelmed by all of delicious pastries to choose... More

Here exists the most beautiful sweets I've seen. The tastes is good. And the owner is very friendly. Prices is at the middle in comparison with other sweets branches in Belgium. For 5 euro you can take a small box with 7-8 pieces, it's lovely.

This place is a wonderful place to stop by. Since it is so close to the Grand Place, I recommend everyone to walk through and check out the Mediterranean sweets. The family that runs this store has been living and working there for around 30 years. The family treated me as if I was a close friend and loved to... More
