Good, not exceptional

Visited on a monday night (after 21:00, an hour where most restaurants in Brussels are already closed) over a business trip. Cozy place, probably quiet too on an average night, but I happened to be sitting next a half dozen of pretty loud irish people so i wouldn't know for sure. Menu is... read more

Starter (beef tenderloin carpaccio) was interesting, tasteful and well served. Both of our burgers (Smack That, Route 66) were full of creativity, quality ingredients and flavor. Best choice among the many tourist ripping restaurants around indeed.

This hamburger place is simply wonderful. It is amazing the taste of the meet and of the hamburger itself! The service is not great, but it is good, drinks are very good and dessert as well. The onion ring were huge and delicious. As I have tried many hamburgers in many different places, I can say this one of the... More

Absolutely delicious, quality burgers! Loved everything about this popular spot. Intimate, convenient location. Friendly staff. Nice beer selection.

The taste and quality of burgers are great but they really need to improve the speed of their service. Maybe have more than two persons serving the whole restaurant.

Walked in by coincidence, as it was 22h and I simply wanted some decent food... and I got more than expected. Personally I would rate this to be one of the best burgers I have had in Europe (tried the Fireman, you should have a certain resistance to spiciness)! Recommended!

Recommended by a friend of mine who usually has a good taste we went here early on a Saturday night to avoid any disappointment. A fair few of the tables had been reserved so i'd highly recommend booking if you want to eat at peak time. A good array of burgers on sale with some classic and some interestings twists.... More

We went at 6:30pm, lucky we did because every table was reserved. He said we could have a table but had to be out by 8:30. That was fine at least he gave us the heads up. Freshly baked buns for the burgers with medium cooked patties. If you don't like medium just ask. I tried the seafood burger while... More

The fashionable phrase "Gourmet Burgers" is rapidly becoming one of the most inappropriate descriptions of what are usually very ordinary but overly expensive beef patties. Call them Gourmet and charge a fortune. But for Hemgie's, Gourmet Burgers does justice to what were damned good burgers. The patties are cooked medium - so if you don't like pink, ask for well... We went in a group of 3. But the menu looked nice so we ordered for 5! The appetizers are great too. Simple beer collection, but goes with the burgers. All burgers were excellent, but for the first time I actually ate the fries too! Must visit!
