First time we used the Cafe was late approaching midnight after dinner and the waiters could not have made it more clear that they did not really want us there. We were not allowed to sit outside despite that it was still warm and inside they stacked the chairs and tables around us. Not exactly 5 star. The next time... More

Food is good, and well priced for Brussels. BUT, it is the ceiling and the decor that make this a must! Art Nouveau at its best

We ate here as we were staying in the hotel. The decor and atmosphere was amazing as in the hotel. We sat outside as the weather was inviting. The only draw back was the cigarette smoke. The service was very good and the staff friendly. We enjoyed our meal but it was not the best that we have experienced. If... More

We ate here because we were staying in the Metropole Hotel. The food was decent but not remarkable and the prices were similar to other restaurants in the area (all of them have very high beverage prices). Although we do not eat french fries frequently, they were included with my wife's meal. They were very tasty and maybe the best... More

The hotel Metropole has closed their beautiful restaurant L'Alban Chambon and reopened the Brasserie off the lobby. I had planned to go to the restaurant but could only go to the Brasserie instead. The décor is also wonderful, and the description says that the food is still prepared by the staff from the now-closed restaurant. I had a meal that... More

We had our best meal in Brussels at the Metropole. The decor is jaw dropping, the service impeccable, and the food mouth watering. We decided when we booked that this was going to be our 'blow out' dinner, but we were pleasantly surprised at the bill. Not cheap but not break the bank by any means. To be honest, the... More

Just happened to be in Brussels at the time to world cup semi-finals Cafe Metropole was an excellent spot for a group to congregate late drinks in a relaxed setting. Bar choices are limited - could not believe they did not serve any spice rum, much less no dark rum! Shame! But, settle for excellent local beer, which hit the... More

The best French fries we had anywhere. Ben our waiter took good care of us. Ate croquet monsieur, omelets and salad. Went there everyday for our wine and beer. Interior beautiful and restrooms were in the beautiful Hotel Metropole.

We had burgers and waffles for dessert with two beers and two soft drinks. Enjoyed them very much, cost 78euro but eating out in Brussels is expensive.
