Nice outdoor seating. Ho hum food.

This little cafe had a great tapas menu after 6pm which I wish I'd gotten. But anyway, the food really was fine... I've just had to reset my threshold for Brussels in general. Prices here were reasonable. The big appeal is the outdoor seating. Great for people watching. Also there are outdoor... read more

Located in the beautiful Hotel Metropole (which we loved), this cafe extends out to the pavement/sidewalk and sitting there gives an excellent opportunity for watching people walk past - and the traffic :( The food was tasty enough, definitely appropriate to the surroundings, but lacking in variety and somewhat on the expensive side. We visited on a few occassions and... More

Nice location but rather pricey. Staff helpful but rather too many of them. In bad weather can eat and drink inside.

This place has not changed in the last thirty years and will not change a bit: it is a protected monument! The service is good, the food is excellent and presented in a way that leaves nothing to wish for. Sit down, relax, enjoy and feel the spirit of the past... Highly recommended for any occasion, but in particular when... More

Fancied a change from the restaurant in my hotel so myself and a couple of colleagues ventured into the Metropole. The interior is straight out of an Agatha Christie movie. High ceilings, marble clad walls, a fireplace bigger than the average family home and waiting staff with a great sense of humour. The selection of food and drink is not... More

Lovely cafe, beautiful ceiling and furnishings. We had a nice drink, which seems like a must. The food was good and the service excellent and friendly.

A very hospitable visit to a restaurant in a very nice setting: a spectacular room. Food is good and the service was excellent for a party of 6.

Enjoyed lunch here. Nice grand restaurant. Service was better if you spoke French but pleasant all the same. Burger, served in a very large bun, soup of the day. Reasonably priced. Great place to sit, enjoy, and be a part of a grand hotel. Washrooms located downstairs and no fee.

We enjoyed a dinner meal at the Café Metropole. Nothing fancy but tastefully served, and certainly better then average menu selections. Certainly will eat here again. Very unique property that is easy to enjoy.

I ate at the Cafe Metropole last night spur of the moment. I picked it because it had crowded street seating and people looked happy. A nice, and not too expensive wine-by-the-glass list, tapas and menu were all good. The people watching was great as was the service. I had the ribeye and Frites. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly.... More
