Intimate restaurant

We were served an amouse bouche of soup to start which was a nice touch. The pasta had a fairly creamy sauce so was filling but very tasty and not over cooked. For dessert I ordered chocolate mousse which could have been richer but generous in portion size. Only one woman seemed to be serving so... read more

Because I work in the area, this is a go-to restaurant for a quick lunch. Service is good and quick, food may not be scrumptious but it is definitely better than average and the value is very fair. Safe choice for anyone interested in a good restaurant in the European Quarter where staff do not twist their nose if your... More

I've been going to Poivre & Sel for years and it's a great stand-by for those evenings when you feel like eating out but not wanting to go overboard. The food is fantastic (my favourite is the tortellini in a truffle cream sauce) and the prices are very reasonable. The service is always great too, with smiling waitresses and meals... More

Not Brussels' greatest food, but nice atmosphere, good value for money and quick service. They first served a small glass of soup (pumpkin?) - nice and well-tasting. Then I tried the Escalope gorgonzola which was goodm though the accompanying vegetables could have been prepared better. As a desert I had a Zabayon. Good taste, but a bit heavy.

Very tasty and authentic cooking. We were surprised by a very nice gesture of offering us a glass of porto as a welcome drink followed by a another small glass of soup to lay the ground for the meal. Friendly service and menu in 2 languages / english - french/ which helped a lot. I recommend this place. Seems busy... More

My boyfriend and I arrived in Belgium today and just went for a wander around this evening. We fancied Italian and saw this place and thought we'd give it a go. It's cute and homely inside and the menu was in English and French which was lucky for us! The waiter was very helpful in translating the specials for us... More

I have been to this restaurant 4 times over the past 2 months. Each and every time has been excellent. A different menu daily. Always a warm welcome and smile from the staff and the owner. An authentic, delicious meal rather than a high volume tourist trap feel. Can't say enough good things, GO AND TRY IT!

Ive been in brussels with my better half for a couple of days and have been very dissapointed with the constant mussles and frites, americano burgers and frites and just general frites central! I nearly started to believe there was no sense of taste in such a beautiful and architectural brilliant city until me and my girlfriend accidentally found this... More
