During your walks around Brussels make a stop for a drink or some food here. An pretty old bistro with flavor. Nice decent cute servers, gloomy interiors, a good list of beverages, plenty of choice. Salads and sandwiches were appealing.

Had lunch at this historic care. Beautiful interior. Good food and extensive beer selection. Worth taking the time fir a leisurely lunch.

the restaurant has an Art Deco design that is original and while the menu is not for dinner, but rather drinks and lunch and snacks it is worth going. We had Croque Monsieur - a French grilled cheese sandwich with ham - and coffee for breakfast because we had arrived but our hotel was not ready. The waiters were charming... More

We had a nice table inside (not so much smoke!) overlooking the Bourse. Great for people watching. Salad and chicken dish were ok. Very good raspberry beer. Come for drinks and people watching. Service was extremely slow and it was a bit pricey for what you get.

Cirio is somewhat of an institution in Brussels. A simple cafe, serving simply food. In our case, it was served by a somewhat absent-minded waiter who has, I am sure, worked there a very long time; maybe too long? He did go about humming and singing; part of the entertainment. But for the fact the Cirio is such an institution,... More

A café that hasn't really changed since it was established in 1886 should not only be judged on it's drinks and food, but also on museal quality. But the beers and pub food are also very good. Don't expect to get a full meal here, but he salads, pancakes and sandwiches are fresh and good tasting. Do ask for their homemade... More

Saw this place mentioned in a reputable guide book and we were not disappointed. Not at all touristy...we were surrounded by locals also enjoying a meal or a drink. Waiter was patient and helpful and I was delighted with the best carbonnade a la flamande I have ever had. Well priced, authentic "antique" atmosphere in a historic setting.

My wife and I had dinner at Le Cirio last night and enjoyed it very much. The restaurant dates back to 1886 and still reflects that era. It consists of several rooms, and we were in the back room--quiet and relaxing. We both had chicken waterzooi, a stew that is a specialty of this region. The waterzooi was DELICIOUS and... More

Really enjoyed this place. Great history to the place and always that bit quieter than other bars/cafés. Great beer as always and good service. Nice food too. A must.

Having seen this bar reviewed in a magazine we stumbled across it and decided to go in for a drink. We ended up having three and we went back. We were there in the early afternoon and we did not eat, nor did I see others eating and I definitely got the impression that this is a bar rather then... More
