A must in Brussels

Certainly among the old restaurants and bars downtown Brussels, Le Cirio is a must. This old fashioned late XIX century bar has a very long tradition, and was Jacques Brel's favourite (his table is at the back, in the way to the restrooms). The decor and the atmosphere is what really counts here... read more

I went at this bar just because i saw the high position on the trip advisor ranking. The place is nice and cozy. The food was nothing special. Prices too high for what you get. The bathroom small, uncomfortable and not very clean.

Had dinner there alone, had the carbonnade and fries with it which was very tasty and a blessing for my very empty stomach. Had the mikado waffle for dessert and it was huge but so delicious that I ate it all and then had to go lie down at my hotel. Service was fine, the waiter could have been in... More

For a coffee or the famous half and half this is the place to be. Enjoyable late afternoon after work to catch- up with friends or to reflect on working day in authentic ambiance seeing diversity of customers passing by.

Nice location for quick lunch stop during sightseeing. Nice interior in old style. Also the staff has old uniform (most of them mature people who try to speak in your language). The service was anyway slow and inattentive. The food was just ok but it is worth anyway a visit.

When you enter here you go a century back. The service great. We went for the famous half en half (1/2 white wine 1/2 champagne). It was full so very noisy but all over a great atmosphere. It's like Brel or Rene Magritte can come in. When we are back we go back

We came here a couple of times and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Great choice of beer and they also do a half champagne half wine drink which is very popular. Surprisingly not expensive even though it is in a tourist area.

Beers were fantastic but food choices were limited. Waiter was a bit unfriendly but in fairness he was very busy. Croque-monsieur was nor made in the traditional way but seemed more like a toasted sandwich. Great old authentic place and I would come back for the beer.

Decided on a whim to spend our anniversary evening here and had a great time. Our waiter was funny but professional and the food and drink we had was absolutely faultless - we both had waterzooi that was particularly tasty.
