My boyfriend and I went here after searching for what felt like forever for a decent bar/restaurant. The inside looked beautiful of course (and it is) and so we went in to have a beer. We sat down at a table and our waiter come over to us, ready to take our order. We didn't have a menu and so... More

Beautifully preserved fin-de-siecle tavern in two cosy rooms plus an outside terrace facing the side of Brussels' spectacular nineteenth-century stock exchange (bourse). Much fine antique detail including what looks like the original furniture and wall mirrors plus lots of polished timber and old brass. Very friendly service from our elegantly-dressed waiter. We enjoyed our draught Grimbergen abbey beer and croques... More

Have been visiting here for almost 40 years, and keep coming back when in Brussels. Very helpful, friendly waiters, especially with the tourists! This is a step back in time with good old fashioned values and ideal place to people watch. Simple cuisine at reasonable prices - try the portion of cheese and salami and a pichet of wine, sit... During your walks around Brussels make a stop for a drink or some food here. An pretty old bistro with flavor. Nice decent cute servers, gloomy interiors, a good list of beverages, plenty of choice. Salads and sandwiches were appealing.

the restaurant has an Art Deco design that is original and while the menu is not for dinner, but rather drinks and lunch and snacks it is worth going. We had Croque Monsieur - a French grilled cheese sandwich with ham - and coffee for breakfast because we had arrived but our hotel was not ready. The waiters were charming... More

We had a nice table inside (not so much smoke!) overlooking the Bourse. Great for people watching. Salad and chicken dish were ok. Very good raspberry beer. Come for drinks and people watching. Service was extremely slow and it was a bit pricey for what you get.

Cirio is somewhat of an institution in Brussels. A simple cafe, serving simply food. In our case, it was served by a somewhat absent-minded waiter who has, I am sure, worked there a very long time; maybe too long? He did go about humming and singing; part of the entertainment. But for the fact the Cirio is such an institution,... More
