just a classic

Great place for an afternoon coffee during a rainy day or a winter day. It will bring you back to the d'artagnan period.

A recommendation from a friend brought us to this small and charming restaurant conveniently located near the Grand Place. The staff were efficient and friendly, the food was excellent - a chocolate mousse was to die for! - and the wine list, though limited in size, provided good choices to accompany our meal. At just over 50 euros a head... More

This place was such a find for us. There wasn't a massive selection of food or beers, but what was there was of high quality and was delicious! The staff were very friendly and recommended the best meals of the day (I had the best Fish Waterzooi of the weekend, and my partner had the steak). It's a small place... More

We had diner in this small and lovely restaurant, and it was a great experience. We found the atmosphere, romantic and authentic. The belgian cuisine served is cooked by a real chef. We discovered and enjoyed the waterzoi, the scallops with mushrooms. Highly recommended.

This traditional restaurant hasn't an adequate rating on this website. Fantastic food, great service and cheap bill. We ate Duck with caramelized onions and Waterzooi of Seafood (both excellent) and we paid less then 50€

The restaurant is a stone's throw away from the Grand Place, yet it has no "touristy" feel to it at all, not even the prices. The restaurant has a faded grandeur feel to it, which adds to its charm. The tapestries on the wall and the colour scheme give the restaurant a Flemish feel. The menu is not huge, but... More

Not a tourist trap even though it is in the grand place area. Small unassuming entrance lets you into an old time restaurant. Felt like I was eating back in the 1600's. The menu is in French, no English translation. No Belgian waffles. No mussels. Just hearty French/Belgian cuisine. I had a white fish and salmon in a saffron soup/sauce.... More

Our waiter was a delight as was the manager/owner. We came on a busy Sun night in November and were greeted warmly. The setting is small and cosy, like being in Grandma's living room. The only reason I dont rate it 5 stars is that evening they were out of many of the wine selections and a few of the... More

On Thurs. night, 10 Oct 2013, about ten of us from various countries got a last minute reservation at this restaurant on a side street off of the Grand Place. Aside from us, there was one other diner in the restaurant. What a dinner we had, we all enjoyed it immensely! Although many of us don't speak French, there was... More

We came here on a Friday evening and we're immediately greeted warmly by the owner. The interior is a hodgepodge of baroque decoration, eclectic and elegant but warm and welcoming. For drinks they mostly do wine by the bottle but they do have a couple beers on tap as well a few bottles trappist beers. We started off with the... More
