We dined here twice two years ago and this year came back for more. The (pork) calvados, salmon, lamb, filet mignon (we’re really not red-meat eaters, but this happened to be so good that it’ll be pointless to get it elsewhere), and homemade soups were all dynamite. There is a nice selection of wines, including half-bottles, in this informal restaurant... More

Went here based on the high Trip advisor review. Owner said they were closed but had a single Prix fixe dinner - smoked salmon on toast, garlic shrimp and sole meuniere. Unbelievable and super fresh. Fish were shown to us before cooking. Asked for white wine and owner brought out the first bottle he saw - an Alsace pinot Gris.... More

Had a great meal here. Warmly greeted by the chef/waiter. Absolutely gorgeous scallops, beautiful steak and sole and delicious desserts! Fantastic dining experience.

Stayed at hotel in the neighborhood and found the reviews for Restaurant Sainte-Catherine on Tripadvisor. Experience was amazing! TINY restaurant (no more than 8 tables) that is like eating at a good friend's house. Open kitchen managed by wonderful proprietor who personally cares for every order. Meal started with smoked salmon on toast and a shot (not sure what of,... More

This is by far the best, most unrecogized restaurant out there. Simply wonderful, can't say enough about it. Owner close to retirement, so go soon!

Been in Brussels 3 nights and went to this restaurant 2 nights in a row. I came alone and was greeted well by the waiter & chef, both of whom took time out to talk away and have a joke or 2. Was given a complimentary salmon slice with bread and cheese from the chef. They have 2 set menus... More

Ate with a party of eight and the service was superb. Felt like a neighborhood restaurant you'd gone to all your life. The mussels were great and the amount was huge. The sole and filet were also outstanding.

Welcomed with a shot of Slivo. Had a fixed price dinner. Salad, salmon (or steak) and dessert. I had salad. Fresh cut veggies topped with Shenken Speck. Main of Salmon, baked potato, steamed vegetables. Cooked medium rare. Perfect. Dessert was chocolate mousse. Thick and rich, with a bit of whipped cream on top. Lovely.

On arriving in Brussels, we immediately went searching for moules et frites. Sadly we found this place. From the outside and indeed when we entered it looked just the sort of place we had been looking for. The waitress was hospitable and promptly took our order. Eventually, after more than 30 minutes (there were 2 other tables who arrived after... More
