The restaurant seems to be always packed and no reservations are accepted. It has a lot of typical belgium food and drinks (ok... beers). Liked the environment and the staff was very helpful, even though the house was crowded. Would recommend a visit.

We enjoyed our respective lamb dishes although the meat was a little dry in one of them. We shared a tarte tartin, the pastry in which was softer than I'm used and which was incredibly flavoursome. It was great value for the overall quality and quantity. We paid 50 euros and that included a bottle of the house merlot. The... More

We visited this place after reading about it here at Tripadvisor. It doesn' look like much, but soo after we kindly had been shown to the restaurants only 2 persons tabe next to the kitchen (the table next to the door is too cold, as the waitor told us), there was a line of people waiting for a table to... A waiter who asks you to move table after another one had already seated you. A packed environment where you're far too close to your neighbours. And the plate... lukewarm congealed mash potatoes accompanying an undercooked beef stew (which had probably simmered for half hour instead of the required 2-3 that would make the cheap cuts tender and the gelatine... We had gone on a short trip to Brussels via Eurostar. On the day we had arrived we were tremendously famished so I had a quick search to see what was nearby and stumbled across the 'Fin de Siecle' on numerous sites and lists of the gastronomic delights native to the city. As tourists we got horrendously lost and passed... More

We arrived early but they let us come in and sit with a drink, which several others were already doing. It was immediately filled up at opening time- a great sign! I had the carbonnade and my partner had the rabbit in cherry sauce which was really delicious. The portions were huge, but I wish the starters were more interesting... More

Great restaurant in the city center of Bruxelles. Typical food, with a great taste and flavour. I tasted the pork shank and was reeeeally good. Perfect with one or two beer. The service was ok, only one bad things: you can't book in advance so you need to wait in front of the door. But, at least, i will do... More

I went there with my wife, because of all the good reviews, but I must honestly say that it didnt meet my expectations. The atmosphere is nice and the surroundings are very fitting and cosy. But the food was not something to come for, it was without much taste. Then again it was "ok" for the price. The place itself... More
