Fantastic Taste of Traditional Flemish Dishes

Ran into some problems at first finding this restaurant due to GPS issues, but it was well worth the persistence to locate it. Dinner service doesn’t start until 6 pm, and once you’ve tasted the food here, that can be a long wait – even if it’s only 15 minutes! The very traditional Carbonnades a la... read more

Excelent food and beer. How can one not love Belgium food and beer? The place is great for couples and group of friends.

I tried the typical "Carbonade" with a pils beer and I found them very good. The service is polite and the place very very nice. The real surprise is the bill, this place is quite cheap for the meals offered.

One of the best places to eat in Brussels that we have visited, it is also one of the favorite for the locals so it is not that standard tourist place. Rather cheap for quality.

We were craving for real Belgian food and had no idea whether or not this restaurant would live up to all the buzz... Indeed there was a line, around 20 min. The restaurant moves quickly so table rotation is quite high. So we waited while having a beer- not a big problem. When it was time to order the whole... More

Great place, superb food, hearty portions, very good prices, just great Small.downsides are menu in french only, cash payments only and messy with reservations (you have to queue up to 20 mins at the end). But food and service brings all back to 5 stars

The only thing I could moan about is that the menu is all in French. Thankfully I know enough to cobble it together, however I did have to translate (and hope I was right!) for my friend. We went inside to see the menu which is on a blackboard as they do not have table menus. It took a little... More

Fin de Siecle is THE restaurant to visit while in Brussels. It has the authentic Belgian dishes that are all savory, you cannot go wrong with any dish. The seating is tight and very European as you share a long table with complete strangers which opens conversation about the food and beer. It isn't far from the Grand Place. My... More

The food was good and hearty with nice flavors. The ambiance was fun and noisy. The beer choices were few but good. Restrooms were average to above average. The language barrier gave us some problems. Water 1liter was like 5 euro! The line to get in was out the door by 6:15 PM.

Our impression of food in Brussels is that its not too impressive BUT this place thoroughly was! It was recommended by a local friend of ours who's lived in Brussels for a couple years and boy were we glad to have eaten here! First of all, no reservations. there's a bit of a wait but we only waited about 15... More
