A wonderful destination and away from the tourists

One of the best kept secrets in Brussels. Located in the center of a park, you take a ferry boat to the island. In true European fashion, be sure to carry coin for the ferry man. I had the scallops and the sole. Both house specialties. They were wonderful. Le Chalet Robinson is also very well known... read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I come here about 3 times a month. They have never let me down when it comes to food, everything on the menu is delicious. The service can take from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on how many clients the have (it's normally full). The location… wonderful. It's placed on a small island... More

Well, the service is not that usually sweet but pretty fast for a restaurant that is always full. The food is excellent and the setting, on a island in the middle of a lake in the middle of a park, could not be better. As I said, we come here often.

Large log cabin located in an island, in a park's pond, which results in a great setting. The park is beautiful as well. Food was good and service friendly, a bit slow though: the place was packed (guess it's usual). Walking around the park is also a great added value. We repeated the experience.

I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday and it was a pleasant discovery for me. We were invited to a wedding that was organized in this restaurant. The location is a very pleasant surprise and we had a lovely time. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. I would definitely consider to go back with friends or... More

The setting could not be better, right in the middle of a pond. You can access only by boat. But the service was so unpleasant each time we visited that we changed our mind and did not stay for dinner so that I just have nothing really positive to tell about this place.

When I came to Brussels 20 years ago the restaurant at this location had just been destroyed in a fire, and it took like 15 years to have it rebuilt. To access it you embark on a 20 meter barge ride as the restaurant is on an island in the lake. Entering the place I liked the central bar area... More

Le Chalet Robinson is everything you could want on a quiet romantic evening. We went at dusk to the Chalet which is accessed by a quaint barge on a pulley of sorts (for €1). The fairy lights against the dark night really do give this place a wonderful atmosphere. We ate the truffle croquettes which were heaven. Only downside was... More

Delicious food but service should be improved - we were waiting for around 45 min to order a dish (after 3 reminders) and then 1 hour for a waiter who brought us the wrong meal. All in all, beautiful ambient to enjoy sunny day in Brussels!
