Overpriced and Poor Service

I have traveled widely on the continent and in Asia and this was a disappointment. Had the evening meal and went for the ''specials''. Steak was really good but the whole grilled bream was just a bony fish a little larger than a sardine! OK, a sardine on steroids , but the amount of edible... read more

This is my second visit to this restaurant. One word : PERFECT. I've taken the menu at 25 Euros, excellent fish soup, very tasteful, afterwards the cob, with a oinions sauce, delicately perfumed with white wine... The lady (waitress) is a mervellous of kindness.... Will come back and a special thanks to the Boss who was there and kindly offered... More

The service in this restaurant is excellent - well above what you will normally get in Brussels. We had a really great waiter who also spoke English and took very good pictures (with our DSLR camera!).We took a table in the open, which is very pleasant when weather allows. The interior is very impressive so definetely take allo. All food... More

Nice to sit inside or outside on the square itself. The €25 menu is great value with Gratinated mussels to start and wonderful cod for main course, unbeatable value. You can pay a supplement for Lobster or choose from the a la carte menu. Service sometimes a little slow due to popularity at busy times.

We decided to spend our last night in Brussels at L'Huitriere to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary in style. Seated on their terrace our menu selection comprised their specials: starter Mosaique Homard, followed by Dorade Suggestion and for sweet, Tarte Tatin and Mouse Cocolat for my wife. All complemented by a bottle of Petit Chablis. We also had two glasses of... More

Returned to this restaurant after a couple of years and was again very pleased. We were seated outside in their terrace by the old canal. My friend and I both had a seafood platter, I with lobster (€47) and she with crab (€44). Both excellent quality. The oysters were superfresh. The waiter also kindly offered to refill on the house... I've been here twice now and both times the food and the service have been excellent. While I opted for lamb and beef main courses, my wife had one of their fish dishes and we enjoyed some oyster starters. Superb. Also, and this is very important to me as an expat living here, the service was not at all what... More

Moules were delicious, cod was excellent, too. But the most memorable part of our dinner was the friendly, attentive service from Frederic. He made spot-on suggestions and made sure our meal was perfect. Thank-you, Frederic! We will be back.

Gorgeous spot, terrific service and scrumptious food. Had been there 6 years ago and was determined to find it again on a return visit. Was delighted that it was just as good as was remembered. Owner seated us, Frederic served us and all aspects were terrific.
