We had the 25 euro set menu and it was really good. The dishes were well presented and the service was excellent . We ate early and there was only one other party in the restaurant , by the time we left it was packed with mostly locals. I would recommend getting there before 8.

On a Sunday at lunchtime, when we found restaurants we'd liked in the fish-market area all closed, a couple of Brussels guys out on a walk whom I asked recommended this place. They were right as far as the terrace arrangement and the food were concerned. But while the chef knew what he was doing, the management clearly hadn't in... More

We came twice here during our stay in Brussels as it was recommended to us by a local friend. We had a set menu for EUR 25 both time and we liked all courses. We tried fish soup and mussels and both were good, although soup was a but unusual to our taste. We had half a lobster (size maybe... More

This restaurant is a well known seafood at the fish market in Brussels. I have been there several times before. They have two menus, reasonably priced for a 3 or 4 services menu. Food is good but very 'standard'. Supplements for some desserts are in my mind not justified for higher cost, 4 services menu. Wine list is 'OK', both... More

Located on a nice square, Nice food specialized in fish like many other restaurants on the square. Nice service, we were asked if it was our first visit and got à free welcome glass of champagne! Very nice and tasty fish. The wine was nice as well. Not cheap but we had a nice dinner and evening.

My wife and I just returned from dinner at L'Huitriere. My wife ordered a moule appetizer which resembled a pizza loaded with cheese and tomato sauce. The mussels were fine but the way it was prepared was less than appetizing. She also had the 1/2 lobster which looked and tasted like, well, 1/2 a lobster. I ordered the seafood soup... More

It is always a good sign to see local people in restaurants. Place has a good selection of seafood as well as wines. I had the scallops and mussels. They both were fresh and nicely prepared. I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service here. Place is little pricey for my budget but worth it.

Nothing else to say than one of the best restaurants in brussels. Large seafood choice and a really good wine menu. Visit the restaurant and enjoy a good dining experience.

We went there for new years eve. Welcome was quite OK, though it could have been better: it was not consisten, not everybody for example being invited to hand-over his coat/jacket to the cloakroom. Cocktail snacks were served but unfortunately nobody told us what it was (salmon tartare and espuma). Nevermind, it was a tasty start with the food. Despite... More

Belgium in known to be one of the food capitals of Europe and this place shows why that is. We stumbled across this place and were greeted warmly by the head waitress and the chef as we walked in on a Monday lunchtime. The restaurant filled very quickly and every table was filled with locals enjoying a feast. On a... More
