I don't understand any of the negative reviews. We stumbled into this place by accident and are VERY glad we did. The owner was there and was extremely attentive, charming, accommodating and helpful. Granted, this was when they just opened at 6pm on a Tuesday night, so I can't say the attention we received would be the same had it... More

Been visiting a lots of different restaurants in brussels... L'huitriere is one of the oldest restaurants in the historic area of brussels.. We tried the 25 euro menu and was thrilled with the portions and the quality...Fresh lobsters and home made croquettes!!! Large wine menu and reasonable in pricing as well.. The huge wine cellar in the hallway is crazy!!!... More

A ten minute walk from Grande Place. Friendly, comfortable and not one of the rip off places that you find in the centre of Brussels. Good, prompt and attentive service and the "moules et frites" were of the best. A nice bottle of Muscadet, a good selection of cheeses to finish off with and it didn't break the bank by... More

I wanted a classic "Moules frites", and I had some of the best mussels I have ever had I think: really plump, fresh and juicy, cooked to perfection, with some freshly cooked hand cut "frites", and a delicious Kriek beer. I ended my meal with a lovely home made crème brulée, with a perfect crunchy top. The service was extremely... More

Beautiful location and interior of the restaurant. It is located in the historic center of Bruxelles. I enjoyed Mussels au vin blanc. The portion was really big enough and it tasted delicious. Good service.

After seeing the winelist its easy to understand why this restaurant is packed on a monday evening?!?! Nothing to say about the food because the quality of the seafood and the Entrecote 160 days of refinement was amazing. Service was inpeccable despite the busy evening. Prices was really not bad and its was worth every penny!!

Contrary to a few other reviews, our experience at this restaurant was very good. We opted for the €25 fixed price menu and chose a good bottle of wine to accompany the food. Service was excellent and we could not fault the food. I would definitely return.

Of course the meal was as delicious as expected but the real surprise to us was the expansive new offering regarding wine, champagne, scotch! We travel to Brussels regularly but had not been to L'Huitriere since last year. We asked around and learned that there is a new owner. We noticed a number of minor but recognizable updates. The atmosphere is... More
