Pleasant ambience & good food

It's a really nice place conveniently located just by the metro of St. Catherine We came over with a big group of friends and got a nice comfortable table Out of 3 members of waiting staff, one woman was especially nice. She brought us wine on the house after someone spilled it, she got us a case... read more

Very nice brasserie in the heart of Brussels. We ate meat and fries and everything proved to be definitely super. An advice to everyone: taste the meat plate in three different ways. Absolutely worth eating!

The Royal Brasserie looks quite upmarket from the street but the reality does not live up to this initial impression. The welcome was warm and we were offered a choice of tables - we chose to be at the rear of the restaurant, near the kitchen, which seems quieter. The chirpy waitress took our order and quickly my husband's drink... More

we come here quite often and it's always a pleasure. The no nonsense approach of the staff and the good brasserie kitchen . Especially meat is what they are fallus for. If you and your friends want to have a good time....go and enjoy

For the medium-high end of the market Royal wants to be, some improvements could help its attractiveness. Sitting could be less cramped (bigger tables or more space between them). The menu could be shorter: the current sub-division between traditional Belgian fare and fusion or fresh fish gives too many options, and tends to make you feel cheap in case you... More

We came in at 7:25 and had to wait for 20 minutes before they waited on us (the restaurant was still empty, but there were quite some people eating on the terrace). For drinks, we ordered an orange juice, half a bottle of still water and half a bottle of red wine. The starter was very good (variety of 3... More

We had reservations for two at 8 pm on Sunday, 26 April. We had fun with our waitress, Betty, who tolerated our many questions concerning the menu that was written mostly in French. We ordered two Mesclun salads, Belgium beef stew with mashed potatoes and a tenderloin steak with peppercorn sauce and fries. The stew consisted of many large chunks... More

We ate a delicious lunch of lobster risotto and mixed seafood for our last meal in Europe. The neighborhood is fascinating and a great place to people watch. Lovely waitstaff -- but why oh why does it take forever to get the check and pay in Europe??!!

The worst restaurant experience in Brussels. We booked a table, we have been asked to wait at the bar, they gave tables to people that did not reserve the table. I asked why, and the people working there answered bitterly that everybody can make mistakes. After more than 30 minutes, I asked when the table would have been ready, and... More

Very friendly staff, we was served by the owner, a really nice guy with a lot of experience in horeca, a 68 years old men that looks 50. The beef tartar was AMAZING, among the beef teriaki and the sirloin steak. The dish name is three kind of beef and for 21 euro i can say that is the most... More
