Went based on a recommendation from a friend and was just around the corner from the Novotel City Center I stayed at. Absolutely delicious, steak cooked to perfection. Also they serve a wonderful Mojito. Would recommend to anyone.

Warm welcome, friendly staff, good but not too long menu. Great starters shared with 4 of us, good choice and price of wines. Attentive but not intrusive service, owner present and quietly monitoring

Went here with a group of 7 on a Saturday without reservation at 9pm. Obviously very busy but they took the time to set us up a nice table inside. The service is really top noch and the food is excellent for a Brasserie. Definately will go again. All friends in our group were impressed after having tried several better... More

Not in the mood for searching a hip restaurant in a trendy neighborhood we decided to give Royal a try. The service was not to bad, for lunch good to handle, but surprisingly delicious food. We have chosen from the traditional Belgium section in the menu: beef tongue with mash potatoes and the stew with french fries. Both were fresh,... More

The ambiance and location of this restaurant are great, on a street corner in a trendy part of town. At night, it's cool, busy and enticingly louche. For me, the food did not quite live up to expectations: it was adequate but didn't scale the heights of which Brussels is often capable.

The location and the interior of the restaurant are the main charm. Otherwise, the dishes are average in taste and very expensive for what you get. The main dishes never include sides (rice, potatoes, fries etc.) Many other better alternatives can be found nearby.

We had some problems finding a restaurant in Belgium (first in Bruges, then in Brussels) because they use to close at 9pm (which is not exactly like in Switzerland or in Italy). We also got some problems booking a table, as many restaurants weren't answering to the phone. So we asked the reception of our hotel and they suggested the... More

I have been to Brussels a number of times but I regret to say that I never visited this restaurant. The food and service were excellent. It has a very nice and friendly atmosphere and it is good value for money. I strongly recommend it and I will make it a point to visit it again.

Royal has pretty much everything you would be looking for in a decent restaurant- Yummy food, good price tag, and nice service! We had the mussels as starter and it was amazing, especially after trying the ones at those touristy restaurants (Ew, I know). I wish I could have those mussels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday!!! As the the... More
