The real true honest Brussels waffle is NOT bought form vendors outside, and is not dripping with whipped cream, strawberries, pineapple, chocolate or other sauces. Belgians sit down in a civilized place such as this, and have a waffle with tea coffee or cocoa, the waffle has ONLY a whiff of powdered sugar. Try it THIS way, and this way... More

I stopped by here, desperate for a decent cappuccino. I got it. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, service is swift and efficient. There is a display of pasties and cakes in the centre and I chose a rich looking lemon meringue. It was delicious. Nice and lemony, with a relatively thin layer of quite caramely meringue. Delicious. The cappuccino... More

Very nice, relatively simple dishes, presented well and at a fair price. From steak frites, quiche, salads, coffee, and the mushroom tagliatelle, everything was great. And of course, great people watching at the galleries St. Hubert!! I think Mokafe is a tremendous value for what you get. Good food, good prices, very comfortable. Too bad we can't take Mokafe back... More

Fantastic quality breakfasts and at very reasonable prices too. Such a pleasure too be able to eat outside in the Galleries Hubert and watch the world go by

While you will see hundreds of tourists eating waffles with every topping you can think of (it seems that the more, the better), Mokafe sells the real Belgian waffle. It's simplier but tastier. Just icing sugar on. And it's better that way. Moreover, the café is in the Galeries St Hubert and it is surprisingly well priced for such location.... More

Had breakfast and a mid morning coffee here. Good for both. Typical continental breakfast; warm bread would have been nice. Cheese fresh, tea reliable. Coffee as one would expect.. Well priced with attentive staff. The Galerie is a delightful place to watch the world go by, especially if it's raining outside.

Great little cafe serving fantastic waffles. Right in the centre of the arcade so you have a good view for some relaxed people watching. Very reasonably priced.

Sometimes presided over by the resident cat (usually asleep on a chair somewhere) - this friendly run cafe serves excellent coffee, french pastries, good light lunches - at very reasonable prices for the centre of Brussels.

While most restaurants in Europe charge prices that are about 50% higher than that to which North Americans are accustomed, Mokafe's prices are among the lowest you will find in the Grande Place area. Serving sizes are also substantial. It is not gourmet food, but it is of good quality. It is more like a good family restaurant that is... More

We had lunch twice here, and other than some somewhat stale bread the second time, it was quite good. They have a large menu and a blackboard full of daily specials. Portions are huge and the quality of cooking is quite good. Prices are reasonable as well and the staff is friendly.
