Wonderful café

I'm a regular here and the place is wonderful! They serve up some of Brussels' best sweet tarts in one of the greatest locations of the centre of the city!

We ordered 2 orange juices and 2 croque Monsieur. We waited ages for the orange juice to arrive and then it was in the tiniest glass you have ever seen, no where near worth the 3 Euros a glass they were charging. When the food came this was another disappointment. The bread was wafer thin, and one of them was... More

6 of us enjoyed a variety of breakfasts - some went for waffles others for eggs and toast, also smoked salmon. Service was quick and the food (and coffee) very nice.

This charming cafe has reigned in the heart of the Galeries Huberts for decades, it seems. A copious menu with scrumptious cakes of the day. All portions are huge. Pasta, salads, mains -- fit for 2, really. They taste well and are appropriate in price for the location (not cheap). Worth a stop for a cup of coffee, at least.

We arrived early on the morning after a long overnight flight with so much turbulence they couldn't serve breakfast (or even coffee!) and went out seeking a nice spot for breakfast near Grand Place. After a strip of restaurants with people outside trying to (literally in at least one place) drag us in, we rounded a corner and found Mokafe.... More

We had breakfast here, its a nice location as the galley du Roi is very pretty. The breakfast was good as was the hot chocolate.

Light, crispy and just the right amount of sweetness. Sure the 'tourist waffles' are tasty but come to Mokafe for authentic ones.

This a real find for lovers of traditional french style cafe culture with bench seating around the walls, wooden tables, customers reading their morning paper amidst coffee and croissants as the small but friendly team hurry to and fro with your freshly prepared order. Freshly ground coffee, wonderful cakes and pastries in rooms that have seen a lot of life... More

Incredible meal (spaghetti was amazing), followed by authentic Brussels waffles. We were told by a local tour guide that Mokafe was the only place you could find these special belgian waffles - and they did not disappoint. Incredibly light inside by crispy and sweet outside... perfection!

Lots of variety, tasty food and reasonably priced. Lots of locals eat there. Good service and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
