We were staying nearby and had breakfast here in this relaxed, traditional cafe both mornings. Fresh bread with cheese, croissant with jam, fruit juice and coffee - what's not to like! Stopped for a coffee and lovely simple waffle one night as well. The resident cat was always there, mostly asleep, but enjoyed being stroked.

We had breakfast here and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed, with the resident cat stretched out in front. Coffee was great, and so were our made to order omelets. Prices were good and so was the service. We'll be back.

In our 2 day stay in Brussels, we ate here twice, plus stopped in for a coffee. The owner is just lovely, and his wait staff is friendly. The covered marketplace in which it is located is fun for people watching, and is cool, or warm, depending upon the weather. The food is reasonably priced and excellent. Our teenagers were... More

Been here many times, it's one of our favourites in Brussels. The staff are great, Toufik was our waiter on all occasions and very friendly. We have lunch and dinner here and many coffee breaks, so a good all rounder. I tried the "Fruit Cocktail" for a refresher...perfect on a hot day. Dinner was great on both occasions, calamaris for... Stopped here with a friend for breakfast and was blown away by the amazing breakfast. The Petit Dejenuer with all the bread and croissants was amazing. So was the Cheese Omelette. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the waffles came and took things to another level. Must visit place for breakfast or brunch. And can safely... More

The real true honest Brussels waffle is NOT bought form vendors outside, and is not dripping with whipped cream, strawberries, pineapple, chocolate or other sauces. Belgians sit down in a civilized place such as this, and have a waffle with tea coffee or cocoa, the waffle has ONLY a whiff of powdered sugar. Try it THIS way, and this way... More

I stopped by here, desperate for a decent cappuccino. I got it. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, service is swift and efficient. There is a display of pasties and cakes in the centre and I chose a rich looking lemon meringue. It was delicious. Nice and lemony, with a relatively thin layer of quite caramely meringue. Delicious. The cappuccino... More

Very nice, relatively simple dishes, presented well and at a fair price. From steak frites, quiche, salads, coffee, and the mushroom tagliatelle, everything was great. And of course, great people watching at the galleries St. Hubert!! I think Mokafe is a tremendous value for what you get. Good food, good prices, very comfortable. Too bad we can't take Mokafe back... More
