THE best Japanese in Brussels, no doubt about that. Staff a little bit military style, but the food makes up for it. If you have a very specific idea of Japanese food.. forget it and be carried away!!

This is definitely the smartest-looking Japanese restaurant in Brussels suitable for business occasions or celebrations. However if you are a food lover (especially a Japanese food lover) like me, you will probably be let down by the food and the slow service in between courses. We have to wait at least 20 minutes in between courses. This is a major... More

Our expectations were completely ruined by the quality of food, lack of authenticity and poor service. 1 Michelin star? Not at all. First of all - the food. We took the Menu (60 euros): a choice of insipid, micro-starters: seviche of salmon, some vegetable teppanyaki, a piece of salty duck filet and something else... I even don't remember, so pale... It s nearly impossible to get in touch and book a table (no website, they hardly answer the phone) which is really annoying. But very much worth your patience. The menu is good value (60 euros for amuse-Bouche, starter, sashimi, fish dish with rice and miso soup). You can add a meat dish for an extra 20 euros (that's arguably... More

Delicious, extra fresh sushi, the lunch menu offers good sizes for a reasonable price a bit under 30 euros. Reservation is needed, as the place it's always full.

Such expectations that i might be slighty tough with this appraisal, but given the one star from michelin guide and the prices - expensive- , the experience failed to deliver that time. Dishes are well presented, but short of taste and uninspired. The duck was very - too - salty, and the lobster tempura greasy, spoiling the culinary experience. What... More

I've been to Kamo twice - the food was really excellent and service very good. Yesterday I was to visit their new location and... what a disappointment. They lost our booking (made a couple of weeks in advance). These things happen (even though probably they shouldn't in a Michelin restaurant) and I could even understand that if at least the... The food is excellent, products very fresh but the portions are really small. None of the reviews here mention you need to eat before... I went there with my boyfriend we have both chosen the Menu 2, 65€ + 15€ wine - 2 glasses of wine each (or better, 2 1/2 glasses each because the quantity is really small) I... More

we had dinner two times at the previous location, this one is better looking. the menu for lunch is a very good deal, the food was very good, we will be back. Also for a complete dinner so we can taste more things. For desserts: the crème brûlée is really great (but a bit too small :-))

Went there for lunch with colleagues and had high expectations. The food was definitely exceptional. We had a sushi and sashimi mix for a starter and then the Japanese steak for a main. We ordered two different bottles of wine from a very limited menu and were surprised for this quality of restaurant that the wine choice wasn't better. The... More
