They know 69 (yes, sixty nine) ways to cook your mussels and by God, do they know how to do it! We've only tried two versions (with Belgian chickory and herbs) and they were both delicious. I would love to go there every night for the next three months and try a new version every time. Served with good and... More

Rapid, good service, typic brussel's decoration, a big choices of mussels preparation, good wine selection, and typic belgian desserts to finish the dinner. Maybe, too noisy if you want to go at 8 pm for a couples dinner on Saturday evening...

Mussels in Brussels. Need I say more? You can find mussels everywhere in Brussels, but you may as well spring the extra Euros and have them in a Slow Food restaurant. If you don't know what Slow Food is, learn more at www.slowfood.com. You get more than your fill with a gigantic pot of 'em. Amazing broth. When my husband... More

Hi all, you will see it everywhere : people looking for a restaurant in Brussels to eat mossels. It's a must-do for any tourist coming in Belgium. And yes, ost of the (old?) discussions online will lead you to "Chez Leon". Leon is an institution for years. But I'm not sure if Leon is still THE best place. As it's... More

Far from the beaten tourist track, le zinneke is an amazing place for sampling Belgian food. The service is great, the ambiance is very relaxed. It is a place frequented by locals mostly. I live in Brussels for 8 years now and I can still say it offers the best mussels (69 types!!) and catbonnade in town. Highly recommended to... More

I've been several time for mussels. They have an amazing choise of mussels preparation (+/-70), and all those I tried were really good. Sympathic atmosphere, nice food, king poeple for the service, my wife and I enjoyed a lot. And prices are correct. Authentic Belgian place to eat and typical Belgian food. I strongly recommend ! I have been dining at Zinneke many times along two years and always satisfied with the quality of food despite the high price, the slow service and the often too crowded place. But yesterday we had such a bad experience that we decided to never return again. We were three adults and a child, arriving around 20:30 on a Wednesday... More

We'd read good things about the mussels served at this restaurant. We did walk 4 miles to eat here and I wish I could say the mussels were excellent, but really not any better than our Italian or French restaurants in Phoenix! The restaurant was not quite open so we waited across the street at a small park...service was okay... More

During our business stay here in Brussels we found this nice restaurant. With so many reviews and a 4 out of 5 we could not get wrong. And indeed, the food was very good. We had the entreat which could be award winning, meatballs in tomato sauce and biefstew (traditional belgian food). The only downside to the ambiance was that... More
