First off, I'd rate Nuetnigenough a 4.5, if it was available. We had lunch two days in a row at the small restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Over the two visits, we had the gruyere appetizer, veal meatballs in white beer sauce and beef stew for entrees, and cherry pie with beer cream sauce for dessert. All of the... More

Cosy cafe with a good selection of beers. Terrible service though. We waited 25min from menus to having placer our order. Another 10mim for drinks and 25mim until food was served. The food itself was average. Cannot recognise the high ratings of other reviewers.

This is the spot for me. Great beer selection with a staff able and willing to guide you through it, plus good food at reasonable cost. They don't take reservations, but for a solo traveler or couple I'm not sure it matters. I have come here 4 times without having to wait for a table. The Jamboneau with Dijon saic... More

This place is small and intimate with great food and unparalleled Belgian beer.  It is just off the Grand Place, amazing that such a wonderful place is so close to all the so-so tourist restaurants.  Dinners are typical and simple Belgian dishes that all go oh-so-well with the wonderful beer.  The “Black mes” imperial stout (aged 3 months in whiskey... We noticed it by chance – just passed by and saw very good food in people’s plates))) But we were looking for a place to watch football final match, and it was no TV there, so we decided to come here the next day, and so we did. We also noticed that not only tourists were there but local people... More

We ate here having read some good reviews. The food was consistently good over every course we had. The service was not wonderful though - the food took an age to arive, not that we were in a particular hurry but if you are pushed for time don't come here. The table service was mixed between one very friendly guy,... More

Three nights in Brussels and we ate dinner here twice. The food was excellent both times, hearty and old fashioned (in a good way). Our favorite was the sausages in tomato leek sauce with stoemp (potatoes mashed with other root vegetables and parsley). The sausages had been baked and were neither salty or fatty. Wait staff was very helpful in... More

This little restaurant serves simple Belgian food very well made. It's also very friendly and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and were obviously passionate about what they were doing. Because of its small size it gets busy quickly do expect to wait at the bar for a while unless you get there early but it is worth it. The... More

You don't go for the ambiance, you go for the food. I had the pork fillets and my husband had the rabbit. To die for! Our waiter was very helpful with our lambic choice and a pleasure to chat with. One of the best meals we've had in Brussels. Go before 7:30 as they get quite full.

Real Belgian food served in a tiny and cozy place A colleague introduced me to this restaurant as authentic Belgian food, same dishes you prepare at home. Tiny place, nice attention (english/french/dutch/italian spoken). Prices between 15-19€. Tried Shepherd's pie, and the veal meatballs. Some dishes are cooked with beer. And there's a large selection of beers available. Worth to visit.
