Very good food, a pity for the waiting time

It would have been a 5 stars review, if I had disregarded the two hours spent waiting to actually get the food on the table. The place is cozy and warm, the choice of beers is astonishing, very unlikely to find it in any other place. The food was delicious (veal boulettes) and the prices are fair... read more

I don't really have much to add to others' reviews of this place, so to summarize: - You will almost certainly need to wait for a table, be prepared - By 'prepared' I mean 'prepared to sample some beer' - The food is honest Belgian grub - The price is extremely reasonable - You can't book - The beer menu... Having been recommended this restaurant by a tour guide, on the grounds of it offering real Belgian food at a good price, we decided to check it out. We had a bit of a wait for a table but were well looked after and we even had some beer while we waited. The food was excellent! Top quality Belgian produce... More

Great location. Our server was kind and very helpful and took the time to explain the specials in detail and any other queries we had. The food was excellent, the special's are good to ask about and I imagine the menu items are lovely. The beer is why we went and we were not disappointed when we say the extensive... More

I loved the fish dish in this place. So tiny and a bit hidden a narrow street so not too easy to find but it's simply amazing. The attention paid to the dishes, the presentation and to the customers is remarkable and if I went back to Brussels this is the restaurant I would go on the very first day.

Cosy place with excellent food and beer. Ask what beer fits the food you order and the waiters are more than helpful to give suggestions. A bit small place though, so be sure not to be too hungry when you go, as you might have to spend some time at the bar / outside to get a table. They don't... More

We just loved everything about this little restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. We had the black pudding appetizer and for entrees the veal meatballs and the rabbit. The meatballs were in a rich sauce and the portion was huge. They had a great variety of beers. Get there early as there is not much... More

This is an excellent restaurant on a main street in Brussels. The wait staff was very friendly and the atmosphere pleasing. The beer menu was excellent and we were able to get Cantillon Fou' Foune, a beer we had searched greatly for. I had the veal meatballs which were excellent. My husband very much enjoyed his Flemish stew. Sadly, the... More

They serve typical Belgian cuisine and it is very tasty. It doesn't have many tables so reservations or arriving early would be recommended. The beer list is one of the best in town. The staff is absolutely amazing and really helpful and patient.
