The restaurant per se is not bad: good-quality Belgian food, great choice of beers in a traditional atmosphere. The only problem is the service, which is awful. You arive and you have to wait a long time before a waiter welcomes you and gives you a table. This could be acceptable if the restaurant was full, but it happens also... More

The place is small and seems hidden. We had to wait a while, but the people from the restaurant were pleasant and we drank some delicious beers while waiting. Finally we sat down and it was well worth the wait. The menu has limited choices, but the food was excellent! Rich, homemade Belgian dishes. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Was attracted to this restaurant from the reviews on trip advisor and it paid off. A small place so you might want to go early. The menu has comfort type food: beef stews, rabbit, shepherds pie, etc. We had the beef stew cooked In a beer sauce. It was very good; tender and tasty. One thing to note is that... More

This smallish restaurant in the touristy center of Brussels offers excellent Belgian beers and excellent local cuisine as well. Arrived later in the evening on a Friday--about 9 pm and got seated within about 15 minutes. (This despite the hipster waiter's insistence that it would be 30 minutes before we got a table.) Service could not be described as "attentive"... More

Great Belgian beer selection, and delicious homemade food, including rabbit and beef stew cooked in beer! Homemade mayo is a great touch.

Visited in June on a business trip with coworkers and family. Knew they didn't take reservations so arrived before opening to get our party of 10 seated and out before they got busy. Even though we were the first people in the restaurant it seemed like we were a hassle to them. The food and beer were good, but the... More

My boyfriend is a big beer drinker so he was in heaven - lots of choice of delicious beers. I am not so good at beer but the waiter was extremely helpful and after asking me a few questions could suggest one that I really liked. Food was very tasty - loved that they were mostly cooked in beer! Would... More

No reservations so be prepared to wait unless you time it right (earlier might be better). Nice, very casual atmosphere in an art nouveau room. The best ham you will ever have...and I'm a ham snob.

There is no shortage of good restaurants in Brussels and I feel really good recommending this one. First off, it is fairly small so you might have to wait for a table. My wife and I sat at a small bar counter for maybe 20 minutes and while there had a drink and some small wedges of gruyere cheese. The... More
