We really fancied Chinese food and they are very short on Chinese restaurants in the centre of Brussels (there's 2 but Xi Ju was more like a takeaway than a restaurant). As Brits we were expecting prawn crackers, sweet and sour, chowmein etc but none of these were on the menu and the menu was mainly in French. We managed... More

A Thai friend introduced me to this restaurant situated in my neighborhood. I would probably never have entered the place if he hadn't. The setting is banal and has the slight look and feel of a small cantine, but every tile I ate there the food was tasty and seemed quite authentic to me. It's open late and always busy,... More

What can i say does what it says on the tin. Ordered roast duck and roast pork combo with rice. Bit disapointed was given the duck drumstick so it was mostly bone. But still tasty for what ever little duck meat i had. Did see something on the menu that i want to try pork belly with taro. But not... More

A month ago I was in Brussels and the restaurants was closed. It looked like they shut down business but fortunately they are still open, alive and kicking. Few years ago I frequently visited this place. Good fresh chinese food, affordable and reasonable service (you do not expect good service in a chines resto :-). The formula is unchanged. Good... I'm not expert in Chinese cuisine, but I have appreciated the variety of recipes offered by this restaurant for fair prices. I was a bit disappointed when I received just a fork at the place of the traditional chopsticks because clearly foreigner... I prefer either using the proper tools or having the choice. The food was tasty and abundant. Nothing... More

A tiny place which seemed to be used by the locals which is always a good sign. We chose a set 4 course menu for 17 euro and each course was delicious and plentiful. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was homely.

I have lived in China for several years and travelled all around the country eating local food. I was hoping for an authentic Chinese food experience in this restaurant and some customer coming out telling us it is the best restaurant in town seemed promising, but I ended up being really disappointed. First let's go to the good parts, I... More

Salt and pepper squid, prawn d sum and noodles with prawns mmmmm! Decent pichet de vin rouge. It's a bit basic but warm and great food. Chinese people eat there so it must be good

The smell when we entered this place immediately reminded me of an earlier visit to China. After trying the very nice duck tongues (you read it right yes) we had some aubergines in beef sauce and tofu in pork sauce. All was good here...
