Unexpectedly great italian

Having tried to avoid the typical tourist haunts in Brussels, we stumbled upon this unassuming old fish shop converted into a little Italian eatery and gave it a go. Upon entering, it's evident that you're somewhere special and different. Seating is either on a shared table or bench downstairs... read more

Cosy restaurant with relaxed atmosphere. Was recommended by a shop keeper I met when looking for directions... Food was simple and delicious. Recommend the sword fish carpaccio.

We waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. Even though there were only about 6 tables seated. The table next us ordered about 3 minutes before us. By the time we got our food, they were already paying the bill. We ordered pretty much the same dishes minus clams. However, the waiter was very apologetic about the wait. The tomatoe... More

The place does not feel super clean, the windows are dirty and it smelled like the bathroom had some major issues. This is very small, and to be honest, not very tempting to get in. We did enter because it was recommended by a acquaintance. Good surprise is that both the service and food were very good. In other words,... More

I read several great reviews and decided to pop in and taste this Italian restaurant. Tres bon. Will come back. Service was excellent as well.

Love this little italian place in Brussels! I work just next door but it's the first time I've actually been able to walk in and have lunch. I ordered the Gnocchi alla sorrentina (13.50€) and it was absolutly delicious! Sometimes, when I order gnocchi, I get a really small plate. But all dishes are served in proper portions and you... Overrated. We had lunch at this "quaint" Italian restaurant. The Pasta was ok, but the place needs cleaning and a total makeover. Not a place i would return to. Atmosphere was actually dreadful. Too bad that they cant even clean their windows. Food overpriced as well.

By looking at other reviews I guess we picked the wrong evening. Slow service, customers complaining overtly that had waited too long, the manager yelling to the waiters: not a good atmosphere. The food was nothing special, expensive for the quality received. Maybe okay for non Italians. Thumbs down.

Brussels has many restaurants, and they tend to be pricey. This small gem, located just off the Grand Place, had exceptional cooking at a very moderate price. I was walking by and was caught by the specials board, and came back for a dinner that evening. The staff was friendly, tolerated my poor Italian and spoke good english, and the... More

The food was good though not special. The price was reasonable given the proximity to the Grand Place. The bathrooms were not up to modern standards.
