If you are into sitting down and be surrounded by ambiance, this is definitely not the place. Buf if you like great fresh seafood and don't mind eating outside...standing, then this is the place for you in Brussels. You walk up to the counter and order your food and then find a spot by their outdoor tall tables, then they... More

This was a nice experience as we love sea food. it is like fish fast food where your eat your food standing and very tasty fresh food with reasonable price. give it a go, you lose nothing.

I stumbled across this when I was strolling along the back streets of Brussels. I think that the idea is very nice, and although it is street food, you can tell that they are very efficient and the the hygiene standards are very high. They are always very busy, and unfortunately, there was a mistake with my order and I... More

Stumbled upon this place while wandering around Brussels. The smell was intoxicating and we just could not restist grabbing a snack. It was buzzing with life and as we ordered and grabbed a table it only got busier. A few minutes later our fresh mussels in garlic and chilli arrived, with a heap of bread to soak up the juices!... At lunchtime this place is buzzing with tourists and locals alike. The queues for the freshly cooked fish say it all, its well work the wait. Deep fried shrimp and kalimari, mussels, fish soup, snails etc. Washed down with a beer or glass of wine. No sitting down though, tall tables to stand at and enjoy a quick lunch

My friend recommended me this fish bar and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was nice, maybe not superb but I enjoyed!

Basically the restaurant tries to copy the Spanish type of serving food (when it's good weather): tables outside (no chairs), they call your name when the food is ready, very friendly staff and environment. The food is very good but if you arrive late you won't have much selection. Although it's delicious, the quantity served is like the 'tapas' in... More

To be honest, I've been coming here for many years now. Not just for the amazing seafood dishes one has to eat, standing up, outside, on the sidewalk, with dozens of other fans, but also to have a glass of wine, mingle and meet new people (often tourists), what else can be said about 'La mer du Nord'? Excellent food,... More

Must try if you visit to Brussels. They have fresh and amazing seafood. All cooked in simple way to maintain freshness, Razor clams is a must, they are juicy and sweet. Full with local people, I will suggest to go early because it can be very busy during lunch time.

This place was terrific and it was just by chance that I stumbled upon it. I was out for a stroll and feeling a bit hungry when I spotted this café. There were a number of café tables for leaning and you could also eat at the counter where you ordered. I had no idea what I was ordering, but... More
