In the neighborhood of fishmongers one can get quality seafood here, within minutes. Try the soups for only 5 euro, or visit the oyster bar just next door that sells 4 different species.

Outdoors eating at a standup counter the freshest seafood from an authentic fishmonger. Service was delightful and informing even if this is the most casual of places. They were happy to show me their snail soup and answer any questions. Very friendly staff on a very cold, rainy night. Their famous soupe de poisson (5€) was perfect and warming. Relaxed... More

We were passing at just the right time. The banter between the staff and the customers lured us in and we had to order. We resorted to pointing at somebody else's dish and had 'kibbling', pieces of fish simply fried in a herb batter with salad and mayonnaise. All cooked to order in front of you. Most of the locals... You need to walk a little in order to find it from the grand-palace but it is worth the effort. you may have difficulty to order if you don't know French. a local place mostly visited by citizens

I have returned to work this morning after a fantastic 3 day trip to Brussels, and I must say experiencing the rustic dining of Noordzee is something I'll always remember! This no fuss eatery has a lot to offer, and I really enjoyed eating on the counter-top, watching the chefs prepare our delicious food all whilst being made to feel... More

The seafood was perfect. The service was also very good, the guy from Maroco (forgot his name) explained a lot to us and helped to make our choice. The only downside is that you are eating outside and there is no tables to sit.

Noordzee/Merdunord added a small new wing to their terrasshop with a choice of three delicious fish sandwiches. For 8 euros you can stuff yourself on smoked macrel salaf, gravad lax salmon, herring and egg salad on a brilliant piece of Danish bread. The guy selling makes just about all the salads and condiments himself and loves doing it apparently. Two... More

Went to Nordzee because of good reviews and always busy-looking bar. After waiting 10 minutes we tried to place an order, but managed to only get a third way in before being ignored by the waiter. He served the soup instantly, but instead of hearing the rest of our order his attention went to three other groups of guests. Another... More
