Fish and shout

Ok, this is maybe going to be one o the most touristic attraction in next years but the idea is simple and nice. A fish shop becomes a restaurant ( take away ) where you can order and eat on the St. Katherine piazza fresh fish, not so cheap but good taste. It's nice to see many different persons... read more

If you don't care about a fancy table and chairs but the food is what really counts then this is the right place to have lunch or a nibble. The staff will shout your name when your order is ready and you'll have standing tables to have your meal on in the middle of an elegant square. When the sun... More

Facing a square with a church, the casual eatery is a perfect fit for the style of cuisine. Other restaurants within the block helps to create a " food ' street feel, where hungry tourists can get their fix and rewarded with good food. Lots of choices, tasty, great food stall atmosphere. Don't forget their Oyster Smorgasboard as it is... More

Noordzee is a little fish stand that offers wine and various fried fish. There is place nearby with tables where you can stand and eat. We had two different items, one whitefish and the other shrimp with cheese. It was great for a little bite to eat.

The fish here is fantastic. We had two types of fish, calamari and the fish soup of the day. A little bit pricey but well worth it for the atmosphere.

I live close to this place and sometimes get annoyed with their customers blocking the way when I'm passing through, but now I understand why it's so popular. The food & wine is fantastic, and it's the perfect place for a quick bite in a casual setting. The staff is efficient, pretty loud but in an entertaining way. I used... More

Very good fish - we had the smoked mackrel and salmon, along with a few oysters. Our tour guide recommended as a good place (along with others restaurants in the same market) to get away from other more touristy restaurants.

There is no better oportunity to recall the atmosphere of medieval waterways of Brussels then a short walk at Place Sainte Catherine followed by lunch at Noordzee. Shouts are authentic, tastes are great, prices are friendly.

By far one of the best meals I had while in Europe. The location neat St. Catherine usually closes pretty early so its a lunch spot. But the location near the Parliament closes later in the evening (at least on thursdays)
