Good restaurant with good beer

If you are looking for good quality food in a beautiful saloon with a very good beer, this is the place. Ask for a Cantillon sour beer and be happy!!

Deliciously prepared braisserie meal. Exquisite tartare de legumes, perfectly prepared steak, lamb shank. Reasonably priced, well selected wines. We enjoyed the charming, intimate atmosphere. Staff very professional & multilingual chef makes the rounds. A true foodie destination!

We were welcomed by Dirk Myny and treated as if we were old friends, although this was our first visit (and certainly not our last!). His "ventrêche de porc" is superb and if you select the dishes carefully, you can accomodate one of his wonderful 'vin jaune' from the French Jura region (Piognier!); It goes wonderfully well with the chicken... In the last three years I have been in Brussels several times, either for business or private. I have been taken for wining and dinning all around. In general, meals were good, nothing to write home about though. Then, accidentally, I stumbled upon Les Brigittines. I had not search the Internet, I had not heard about it from friends or... More

we are in the domain of excellent solid traditional comfort food, and it is a real delight... We had a aged beef which was super. The wine list is moderate but well selected. Service firendly and competent. The decor is traditional, and so it should be. I will go back...

Word simply cannot do justice to the entire experience. This is a special little place, genuine, honest, and a true gem. The dining experience here alone made my cross-Atlantic flight worth it! Dining here was truly an event that will be cherished in my memory for years! We arrived to our 2000 reservation with the chef greeting us at the... More

I loved it here and I know I'll become a regular. We celebrated my birthday here and the atmosphere was beautiful. Even though it is undoubtedly romantic, big groups are welcome! It's dimly lit, which wasn't a problem for any of us. Very simple and elegant. The service here was also great and their wine/food is the reason behind the... More

Knowing the restaurant is owned by a renown chef is always a good recomendation. The ambient is French art decco and the food also had more French then Dutch influence. My friend had a phesant and the chef came at the table to display it before the meat is stripped from the bones. "The bird from the Flandria, butter from... More

One of Brussels's best in this reviewer's experience. A fin-de-siecle survival with lots of beautiful polished wood and interesting detail. The bar, the carving behind it, the open fireplace and the various doors are all particularly nice. Tables and chairs of a similar vintage all well separated, giving a spacious feel, and more congratulations to the management for no canned... More
