Went here for lunch as soon as I arrived in Brussels because of the opinions read online and because it was not far from my hotel, and it was a really nice surprise. I had been warned that food in Belgium was not especially good, but I definitely cannot say so in this place. I got the day special (duck... More

Hearty food, and good value. Big plates, you will not walk away hungry, and the food is tasty (not particularly creative, but classic Belgian fare, great for meat-lovers). Good beer selection.

The slightly formulaic menu offers a range of hearty Belgian classics, accompanied by chips or stoemp (mashed potatoes and leeks) and a variety of sauces. It will please meat lovers with a large appetite but not those watching their cholesterol intake. There are a few lighter and more imaginative dishes available from the blackboard as daily specials. The atmosphere is... More

We went to the restaurant at about 10:30pm on a Friday night. It was packed! The atmosphere was great - bit rowdy, but very homely. Bit hot inside. I ordered the duck leg in cherry beer sauce - excellent! My husband got steak with pepper sauce, which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. For dessert I had the tiramisu and... More

One of the best dinner we had in Brussels! Friendly staff, quick service, well-prepared food och great beer selection. We enjoyed it a lot!

We were 10 people that sat for dinner. Everything went well until one of our colleagues had to order. She had been hospitalised a couple of days before (close to death) and from now on she can only eat 5 different ingredients. As the owner of the restaurant didn’t had those 5 very basic ingredients (which probably he had), my... More

This small, well-hidden restaurant is pleasant, with a modest menu and a rather larger list of beers. Mussels were properly cooked, but lacked noteworthy flavor so that the absence of bread to soak up the cooking iiquid was not a great tragedy. The accompanying frites were just okay, and the same word applies to the desserts that we tried. All... More

You will most likely never simply 'stumble across' this place as it is well hidden in a back street not far off Louise. In most cases you read or hear about it, and then decide to go and see what it is all about. Location aside, the restaurant has a nice rustic feel with beer advertisements from decades past ornamenting... More

As others has written, this place has a very local feel to it and with the old but coll deco, the place just make you relax straight away. The food is very tasty and it is great value for money. Their beer selection is large and there is something for everyone - also if you dont drink beer :-)

I've always loved turning a corner and jumping into the past and this is actually very common in Brussels. I arrived quite late for lunch and the place was quite empty. Old wooden chairs and tables, low ceiling, you could actually hear the laughter and smell the smoke of days gone by. Orders were the classic Belgian stew and lamb... More
