A classic, that is suffering a bit from its fame.

The Six colonnes is a classic for Waterloo people. It serves good food, has a large choice, but prices have risen steadily for the past years, and it is getting difficult to get a table without prior reservation. Still it deserve more a good mention that an average one, but the whole... read more

Oh, lunchtime in Belgium means Moules Frites! I choose the classic parsley garlic and white wine variant and enjoyed it very much. Many other dishes on the menu as well. Crayons and drawingpaper to entertain the kids! Good initiative. I 'll defenately go there again!

We ate Croque Madame. It was really good. Very nice location and surroundings. Quiet place. A good restaurant to go to after visiting Waterloo battle field.

I know this restaurant since years as I live in Waterloo and it had always been very good re quality and price. We had also celebrated some birthdays there; The last one was a total flop. The plates had shrunk, and the prices increased ! We had ordered a steak which was served with a small portion of salad, for... More

Always a great place for lunch or supper. Food is consistently good and the menu varied. Good selection of wines/drinks. Some English speaking but mostly French. Seafood is particularly good and seasonal. Great to sit outside and watch the world. Reasonable prices.

We decided to have a drink here with 4 over the weekend. They had as suggestion sangria.. So we took a litre for the 4 of us. First we had to wait to be able to place our order. Seems it was important to clean the other tables while the place was still close to empty. When the sangria arrived... More

Honestly i was surprised by how friendly the staff is... the menu is very traditional Belgian fare, but generous and fresh. no surprises here. They even have my favourite WATERLOO beer, brewed just down the road at Mont Saint Jean.

Open 7 days a week, whereas quite a few restaurants in Waterloo are closed on Sunday. The weather was favorable that May Day, so we sat outside. The service here is a bit slow and they forgot about a drink order. We both ordered lamb which was just great. Some nice grilled veggies on the side and some rosti. Great... More

I have been at this restaurant several times over the past 10+ years. I have never been disappointed. Their food is always fresh and good, regardless whether you take seafood or not. This time we had oysters for a starter, followed by 'rognon' (kidneys), which is one of their non seafood specialties. The sauce is just outstanding! Make sure you... More
