They closed the restaurant and will start another outside town in Boortmeerbeek. It will be another type of kitchen and accomodation.

We were fortunate to find space at this renown restaurant in Mechelen. It has certainly earned its Michelin rating. Exquisite food (note the beef carpaccio), inventive presentation, excellent wine choices (given the owner is a well-known sommelier, this is of no surprise), most attentive service by all staff, and a beautiful room. This for me the best restaurant in town. Very fine dishes with a lot of creativity and variation, excellent wine choices, good location and interior, service is very warm & friendly, I would definitely recommend this place.

Mechelen has 2 1 star michelen restaurants. If you're looking for the best, go to D'hoogh. This restaurant...well, I don't even see why it has a star. I paid 15 eur for a guy parking my car. Know this place for several years now. Always very pleased when we go there (lunch or dinner). Famous wine list! Let the owner advise you, it's worth it when you want to discover new wines. On the verge of getting 2 stars!
