They closed the restaurant and will start another outside town in Boortmeerbeek. It will be another type of kitchen and accomodation.

We were fortunate to find space at this renown restaurant in Mechelen. It has certainly earned its Michelin rating. Exquisite food (note the beef carpaccio), inventive presentation, excellent wine choices (given the owner is a well-known sommelier, this is of no surprise), most attentive service by all staff, and a beautiful room. Foodies will be over the "Mechelen moon". If... More

This for me the best restaurant in town. Very fine dishes with a lot of creativity and variation, excellent wine choices, good location and interior, service is very warm & friendly, I would definitely recommend this place.

Mechelen has 2 1 star michelen restaurants. If you're looking for the best, go to D'hoogh. This restaurant...well, I don't even see why it has a star. I paid 15 eur for a guy parking my car. I never ever to pay 1 eur for someone to park my car in this type of restaurant. We asked for 2 starters,... More

It is long ago that I received such a good service in a restaurant. Owner Danny Vanderscheuren is one of the best and most friendly hosts I have met. The restaurant was full that evening and they were only with three to do the service so they really had to run but they did it in such a way that... More

We had a business diner on a friday night. Although we had to sit at the latest table available we could have a private conversation without being heared. The food was not top. Asperagus in the winter is not a good idea. The tast of this magnificent vegetable is not the same in winter as in spring. As a main... More

We invited friends for what we assumed would be a commendable 1 star Michelin dining experience. The restaurant touted an excellent menu with Wagyu beef priced at 144 EUR for two and kingfish starter at 40 EUR. As an international business traveler I am fairly accustomed to dining in similar establishments. This particular experience can only be described as a... More

We chose the Wine & Dine Menue for 100 EUR including wine, water etc. When booking it was especially asked if any other costs will come on top. The denied and said that they are rather generous with the drinks and refills won't be a problem. For aperitif the offered champagne and one person asked for a refill. The waitress... More

Know this place for several years now. Always very pleased when we go there (lunch or dinner). Famous wine list! Let the owner advise you, it's worth it when you want to discover new wines. On the verge of getting 2 stars!
