City centre no frills fish restaurant

This is a simple fish restaurant in the centre of Antwerp with prompt service and the freshest fish. We had two courses and could not fault them. It was so good we hardly spoke whilst we ate! The wine was good value but could have been a little colder. This was not a problem having been given an... read more

A great place for local seafood. Most people were eating Mussels but everything was good. Solid professional service.

We ordered a fish soup, a soup of the day (asparagus soup) and ONE portion of mussels. The waiter asked us if we wanted to share the mussels and we said yes. And that was the biggest mistake you could do in a belgium restaurant according to what they told us later. On the menu one portion of mussels costs... More

Typical Belgian food, small place but very good food and friendly service by proffessionals. We had both Seafood and Steaks and we all ordered desert. Unfortunately they do not serve Creme Brule

I've been coming to Maritime for a few years now and always enjoy their mussel pots. A good choice of traditional and exotic styles of mussels but always with generous portions. Wine is excellent and also reasonably priced.

To be honest I was a bit disappointed by the mussels. There portions were really big but I did not find the mussels and the preparation so good. Being belgian I was expecting something much better. But maybe we were just unlucky as the fish soup was really nice though

This place for recommended by every local we met as the best when it comes to mussels. I must admit the "best" is really subjective in this case. Among others we tried the Chef's specialty and ended up with a bowl of boiled vegetables and herbs with mussels in it. No matter what one chooses to order, they always come... More

Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere very much. Perfect staff and nice traditional dished . I had the best 'paling in 't groen' ever. Very nice housewife (Alsace PN at 35 EUR). I certainly will go here again. Staff perfect, brasserie style (cloth napkins).

We came here for mussels based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. We were lucky to get a table outside, and ordered mussels "Op de wijze van de Chef" (in the Chef's manner) and were not disappointed. The mussels were succulent and the broth was rich. We also enjoyed fish soup, which was quite good. This place is expensive... More

We visited Antwerp this past March, and this restaurant was a hit. Fresh seafood, prepared simply with delicious vegetables and an incredible wine selection. The restaurant is small, and you'll need reservations, and the trestle table set up might be weird or Americans...but it was awesome. Because you are kind of seated communally, it enabled us to meet Italian businessmen... More
