Haute cuisine in a historic setting

We have been visiting this great restaurant for many years now, often with foreign business partners who enjoy both the historic setting, the great food and the professional service. The restaurant has never let us down. They have been very accommodating in many ways. I recommend this restaurant to... read more

Was a regular guest 30 years ago when it still had two stars. Visited a couple of times when the chef transformed the restaurant to a more bistro like venue and didn't like it at all. Lunched there recently and loved it very much. Still one of the prettiest restaurants in the world, food very classical but great fresh products... More

Great food, great atmosphere and despite being costly, great value. I was there with my family for lunch, and we took the lunch offer. It was delicious. It cost literally 40€ plus the wine and water we drunk - it resulted in approx 55€ pp, and it was really worth it. We just had a blast! The place has pieces... More

We chose the suggested day menu, fish dishes, and it was excellent in every sense: quality of the ingredients, cooking, presentation; and the service, which was friendly, effective, helpful and very, very professional. We could even enjoy, as aperitif, a glass of sherry at the right temperature and in the right glass, which, altogether, is rather uncommon (very few restaurants,... More

I went for business to Antwerp and in the evening I was looking for dinner somewhere not far from the Groenplaats. Near the Koornmarkt are lots of restaurants and I couldn’t decide where to go. In one of the side streets I discovered a marvelous wooden gate mentioning the service entrance of restaurant Sir Anthony van Dyck. I remembered the... More

The location is a bit hard to find, being in a narrow street in the very center of Antwerp. You may be a bit hesitant to go there (is it perhaps the entrance to a museum?) but will be in a different world, away from the touristy restaurants polluting the historic center. We had the 4 course tasting menu, an... More

Taste, understanding for the arts, exquisit interior architecture, and a good kitchen. An absolute must!

Spectacular restaurant location, excellent service (a little misunderstanding on the water, quickly solved when I told the waitress, no big deal at all anyway) We had the gourmet menu, 4 services at a reasonable price given the products: scallops, lobster, rib eye... all products treated with respect without anything more than necessary in the dishes. A real pleasure!

The restaurant is located in the heart of Antwerp. The food is of a very good quality, all with fresh and qualitative ingredients. Very good value for money. Wine list is nice, prices are accordingly. I find the interior too classic, but that is a matter of taste of course. Service was spotless. Restaurant is worth a visit.

That is just a cool upscale place to go. Food is fantastic and the service as well. The menu has a variety of choices and would please everyone. Could be an excellent place for small groups or couples. I also recommend the set menu, it varies usually but they would change it up incase one of you does not eat... More
