Worth seeking out

Finding this restaurant takes a bit of doing. It is down an alleyway which leads off Pilgremstraat, which in turn is a short distance from the cathedral, and there is a helpful sign at the alleyway's entrance. After that, however, you're on your own. The alleyway twists and turns and then divides... read more

The restaurant is beautiful and stylish. We had the pre fixe menu, served by a very accommodating waiter. Every morsel was delicious, and the reasonably priced wine our waiter recommended complimented the meal perfectly.

I have been invited to this restaurant and that was an experience. You reach the place walking through a narrow road and the you jump back some centuries. A nice old building, well kept and very professional people. We have been very well looked after. Good starters, excellent food and great wine. An experience to do if you are in... More

Dining at Sir Anthony is indeed tasting the past in this ancient middle age residence restored, redesigned and refurbished by the owner of the Vlaeykensgang himself. But also tasting the present by the famous Antwerp Chef who creates fresh ingredients into divine food that melts on your tongue whether it is meat fish or vegetables, hors d'oeuvre (literal) or dessert... Restaurant is hidden away in one of the smaller back streets in Antwerp. We had to sit outside for a bit as we waited for it to open in the evening. Very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. It is a lot bigger than it looks on the outside. Each course from starter to desert was... More

The restaurant is delightful. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The food was amazing - it is a gem! I recommend the salmon, pheasant and my husband loved the crab croquettes - a twist on the standard prawns...wine was delicious and it was a perfect last night in Antwerp after three years.

The online booking process for this restaurant was very problematic, bizarrely you do not have a confirmed booking until they have telephoned you, this is not very practical for tourists. The restaurant is housed in an historic building in the centre of Antwerp. In order to enter the restaurant you need to ring the doorbell or knock the door. We... More

The restaurant is well located in the center of Antwerp but also a little bit hidden in a gang. No advertising so I think the business is going well. Charming interior and good service does not replace a good food. We expected more from the kitchen after we look in the menu. A little bit overpriced for what you get.

Had a business dinner there with clients. The setting was outstanding. We had 8 people and arranged a set menu. The duck was excellent. Service was a little slow at times but otherwise a very nice and impressive dinner .

Every so often I invite special colleagues to this historically set restaurant. Located in a superb location in the historic center of Antwerp this venue will add an extra dimension to your lunch or dinner. The food is great, and staff is up to the level you expect to find in this upper kind of place. The menu offered the... More
