Restaurant Gember was the wedding location of my brother in law. A very nice and open place where you can have a great party with a nice outdoor terrace and great snacks.

I went to this restaurant when the Gemeentemuseum had the House of Dior night at the museum event (way back in 2010!). I went with a group of friends and took the set menu offered as part of the event. Nothing was memorable about the experience - unfortunately.

Nice restaurant to have lunch, when you're visiting the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag or the Fotomuseum. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon, when we went there. Good choice, nice service.

Visited Gember both before AND after our visit to the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. Perfect for a tea and apple pie before the (Chanel) exhibition, and then even more perfect for a lunch afterwards. The atmosphere is really buzzing, the food was tasty and reasonably priced, the decor was crsip and modern... but most of all the service was outstanding -... More

I guess I've eaten in enough museums to know that they are getting good at adding concessions on premises. This is a small photo museum and cafe, and the food choices seemed uniformly good. I had a mozzarella, tomato, and pesto pressed sandwich, and the wife has the mackerel salad (which she said was one of the better meals she... More

We were on an 8-hour tour of The Hague and were starting to drag a bit. We decided to go to Gember before entering the City Museum it is attached to for a quick bite. It was recommended by our tour guide, so we figured we would give it a try. First of all, it is large and bright. You... More

I visited Gember twice for lunch (salad, burger) and one time for an aperitif. Nice location, really modern and close to the Museion. A good pick for a quick lunch and a fast smooth service!

My daughter and I always love to have lunch here. She's vegetarian and loves the vegetarian kroketten (and other options). It's a very relaxed atmosphere and a nice way to spend an afternoon with a visit to either the photography or gemeente museum. Looking forward to our next lunch there!

Ive just left Gember and was shocked to see mice running across the restaurant floor. Management are aware of the problem but seemed quite oblivious to having a pest problem!!! Such a shame as its a great venue but I would not eat in a restaurant that has mice!!!

Gember is Dutch for ginger, which is the cleverly used motif for this restaurant located next to the Gemeente museum. The food is light, quite healthy, with some unusual offerings like the quinoa and grilled courgette salad. Prices are reasonable; service was friendly. It's a great place to relax after your museum visit.
