We come here every now and then, mainly because sit is always good food and always something different than other good places in The Hague. Good selection of wines. And an intimite atmosphere.

We went late on a Thursday and it was busy but we could choose a table. We decided to minimize decisions and made the choice from the left and right sides with the wine arrangement. Apart from a slightly offhand welcome (ok it was just after 8.30), the service was great and the food and wine very good. To be... More

I was here as part of a group of some two dozen and we were treated very well indeed. A four-course dinner with accompanying wines for each course is not something I regularly have, I must admit. Staff kept well on top of everything, and I noticed, for instance, that someone who had arrived late and had failed to cotton... More

Delicious food. I went with friends to Maxime. It was during Restaurant Week, so it was probably cheaper than usual - I think it's pretty expensive otherwise. Amazing quality & terrific set-menus. It's great because you can pretty much DIY your own meal. Great wine list too..

Maxime always seems to be busy, no wonder with a Bib gourmand recommendation and the link with the one michelin star restaurant Callas. We Visited on a Busy Friday without reservation and with some puzzling they could still squeeze us in. Full and a bit noisy, but with a very good vibe going. The staff were working hard but managed... More

Visited as part if a group of 8 in a very busy and noisy Wednesday. Set 4 course menu with 2 choices per course was interesting. Both starters were a little underwhelming but all other food tasty. It is expensive and hard place for conversation but glad we visited.

Most of the food at Maxime's was ok (except the mussel soup, which was horrid), but a four course meal should not take over three hours! Maxime's has set courses with two options for each course. The problem is that no matter what time you arrive, most of the restaurant receives each course at the same time. So if you... More

When my business meeting took much longer than expected, we decided to have dinner, and strolled to Maxim's. Without reservation we were anyway received in a hospitable manner, though the waitress warned us that, since we hadn't reserved, we would have to wait. In total the "extra" waiting time was less than 5 minutes. I particularly liked the left-right menu... More

We had a romantic dinner for two at Maxime's. We split our order between the right and left menu's and enjoyed the wine pairing. Service was good: nicely paced and attentive. I especially enjoyed the coconut coriander soup and the cheese plate. My halibut was cooked perfectly and very fresh. And enjoyable meal and a good value. Thank you, Maxime!
