I went in Hague for a buisness trip. After discovering this place, dinning there became a must. The food is perfect, the place provides excellent atmosphere and the service is really friendly. If you go there, don't miss the chance to taste the spare ribs accompanied with a glass of draft beer. I can assure you that these spare ribs... More

The Resident ribs are the best in The Hague by far (IMHO). While I really enjoy the usual smokey BBQ flavour of most other restaurants ribs, the Resident's ribs have a pretty unique flavour - think there is some Chinese 5 spice in there, which makes them absolutely delicious. Can also recommend the mixed grill, but you better be hungry... More

Great cozy and nice atmosphere. Always busy. Best spare ribs ever, delicously marinated. Ask for a table in the back, the way through the kitchen is fun.

The tendered spare ribs are well marinated with some sweet honey and sour sauce. Makes you lick & clean up to the bones! Yummy.... Portion is BIG for one person but goes well with salad. Side orders - garlic bread & escargots with baked cheese and garlic complete the full meal. Dinner time is packed with customers, so it's better... More

OK, not a Michelin starred eatery, but you will enjoy it if you like ribs and a beer. Very casual, and super friendly helpful staff. It is easy to enjoy in a comfort food sense which we were happy for after arriving from the US over night. Worth a visit is you want informal eating

Winning formula, always busy, great atmosphere and good food. I have been coming here for at least 25 years and it hasn't changed at all, a old fashioned really Dutch brown cafe style restaurant along the stylish Denneweg in Den Haag. A mixted clientele of locals, business men & women and groups of friends come to enjoy the famous spare... More

Went to this place as recommeded by one of my coworkers. THe ribs are the house specialty. THe portions were quite reasonable. I had no trouble finishing the full rack. I enjoyed the ribs, they are a bit different that what we get in North America. Had some nice char on them and good flavour.

We had the smoked ribs which were a specialty of the house and ate every bite along with the fries. Just what we needed after several days of biking. Local atmosphere, good service.

I have had several dinners at De Resident. The ribs are the best that I have found in Zuid Holland. The staff is so friendly. on this last visit, I brought my 5-year old daughter and she had a great time. Lots of atmosphere and things to look at.
