You have at least one time to go to this restaurant. The student tradition is literally all over the place, the staff is nice and the kitchen is also in the middle of the room and pretty interactive. So, positive points: The variety of the wine list is quite impressive. The staff, the atmosphere, the place full of photos in... More

Wouldn't have found that restaurant without trip advisor, but wouldn't want to miss it. Tried to go there at first on a monday (it's closed then during the summer months as we know now) but came back a few days later and loved it. Great food, nice people there and a great view on the kitchen that is located in... More

I was taken here by a colleague who is a regular. The restaurant-bar is like secret hole in the wall, it looks scary from the outside, and probably doesn't attract a lot of tourist walk-ins. It's a kind of spit and saw-dust atmosphere, where you have peanuts served, and then you're expected to throw the shells on the floor -... More

Best food and atmosphere in Rotterdam. The menu is available in English, but the staff are more than happy to help. The open kitchen is great entertainment

I almost missed this place and hesitated to walk in initially, because it certainly didn't look like a restaurant from outside. But the staff were friendly and their authentic Dutch food was great. I had an enjoyable dinner.

We were here for dinner with my girlfriend and the place is authentic indeed. However, authentic for a Dutch pub means nothing special. We liked the raw peanuts which you throw on the ground and the service, but everything else was quite average, including the food. When the bill came in the end and we saw the price for this... More

Group of us were passing Rotterdam and decided to have lunch. Picked up the place's address from Tripadvisor, found the place and parking space for cars easily. But almost walked by the pub as it looks like abandoned place from outside. Sign is faded out, window covered with bottles and dust. I was ready to leave, but colleagues decided to... More

Just came away from a lovely evening at The Pijp. Food was delicious and arrived piping hot as it was freshly prepared while we enjoyed our wine. The place quickly filled with locals who were obviously enjoying the evening. Not too pricy and well worth a visit.

My colleagues and I were in Rotterdam for work and were keen to take in some authentic Dutch atmosphere and food. We had a lot of fun, and so did the people around as us laughter was heard constantly throughout our meal from other tables. In We started with the mussels, croquettes, and a variety of fish and then moved... More

We enjoyed an evening at de Pijp during our short stay in Rotterdam. I was glad I'd worked out exactly where to find the restaurant in advance - it certainly wasn't obvious, being situated just up a side street, with a single sign to indicate its presence. In fact, I still wasn't sure I was entering the correct building as... More
