We have been eating at this place for a few times already for the last few weeks. There's not a lot of authentic Chinese restaurant left in Rotterdam especially with Cantonese cuisine from Hong Kong. The food here reminds us of the old type of cuisine during the 70's. Taste is just right but may be weak for some who... More

As for all Chinese restaurant in Rotterdam, I am pretty fond about them. However, when visiting this restaurant for the first time, I was a bit disappointed. The food is bad compared to others, and the prices are higher as well. Furthermore, the service wasn't very customer-oriented and we weren't satisfied with the options available in the menu.

We had lunch here again last Thursday. This is my 3 rd visit and again excellent. Just a 5 minute walk from Rotterdam CS, leave the station and head on straight and it's on the left. The four of us had lunch and it's excellent, try the Peking Duck price at I think €30, well worth it. All the food... More

They used to be the best and most popular Chinese restaurant in Rotterdam. But since then a lot of new players have come to the city. And a lot of really good ones to. Sure the lost position as top dog. But it is still a very good choice.

When I stayed in Rotterdam with friends we walked past this restaurant and decided to try it out later. We were content with our dinner, which was too much for us to finish. I was rather disappointed with the Dim Sum, but the rest was fine. Inside it was a typical chinese restaurant. The staff was not overly friendly, but... More

Was here for a business dinner and surprised by how authentic the food is. The quality is good and comparable to any of the good Chinese restaurants in SF bay area. The wait staff is all Chinese and the patrons a mix of different ethnicity. Dishes to try: Peking Duck (they call it by another name but it's basically the... More

To celebrate a birthday we went to Tai Wu. One of the oldest and best chinese restaurants in Rotterdam. With its old fashion interior and koi pond at the entrance its always fun to come here. Its so noisy inside that it doesnt matter if you bring the children. Lots of big families eating here at (mostly) round tables. A... More

If you want to have authentic Chinese food at a good price, Tai Wu is the place to go. There a plenty choices on the menu, the personnel is very friendly and the price is quite allright. There is enough place at a table, to Dutch standards. The place is located a little bit off the center, but still within... More

Tai Wu is one of my favorites for good and authentic Chinese food when visiting Rotterdam. The dim sum are great as a starter followed by the Peking roasted duck with crepes, delicious. For vegetables you should try the Chinese spinach combined with white rice and chicken with a ginger sauce.
