I loved the fact that you could bring you dogs in with you. They also had a great outdoor seating area.

Simple cooking, very good for a quick meal in the evening. The food is typically Dutch cuisine with a lot of bread and of course potatoes (fried)... nevertheless salads are fresh and choice of beer is super !! Too bad that there are no harings in the menu.

This large, modestly priced sidewalk cafe and bar was such a hit with my 17 year old daughter that we ate there twice. Food ranges from rustic Italian to traditional Scandinavian fare, but the thing that sets it apart is the environment and the service. The indoors is warmly lit and furnished with vintage furniture. The lighting is perfect. The... More

We had lunch here on a saturday, decide to sit inside even though the sun was trying to break through the clouds. We had the chicken bara, some frites and the carpaccio. Nothing was above what you might expect, but nothing was bad either. Service was fast and correct, the location is quite nice. I like the Nieuwe Binnenweg that... More

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner during a one week stay in Rotterdam at this place. Breakfast was the usual fare, nothing special. The lunch menu was ok, the food really good. The dinner menu was a little bigger with a couple of fish choices, which we enjoyed. Overall a very recommended place.

Wester Paviljoen's staff claim that their restaurant is Rotterdam's "most cosiest living room-style café" - in fact, it's a true "grand café" where you're welcome all-day long for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just some drinks. The food is straightforward and allright; their deserts (cakes and brownies from the nearby Koekela bakery) are worth a detour. The atmosphere is pleasant and... More

We went to Wester paviljoen every morning for breakfast, and two nights for dinner. That should speak for itself. It's a nice restaurant with friendly staff who supplied us with English menus and were very helpful. I can recommend the chocolate tart - to die for. All our meals were excellent.

and our meals were tasty, too. Unfortunately, the service was iffy. Our waitress apparently waited until sometime after we finished our starters to submit our order. We had to remind her that we were still waiting for our mains and it still took another 30 minutes to be served. I had the evening special - Morrocan chicken with grilled vegetables... More

Through the years I have tried the food: breakfasts, lunch and dinner and the verdict has always been the same: just barely acceptable. The restaurant should not be in the top list in Rotterdam. But the vibe is good and atmosphere relaxed, nice terrace as well so go and enjoy with friends.
