World of relaxing atmosphere but not so much of world kitchen

We went with a group for dinner. The waiting area already gave a soothing and reassuring feeling. Staffs are very friendly, especially the 'gastvrouw' who introduced the menu to us. We went with a group for dinner. The waiting area already gave a soothing and reassuring feeling. Staffs are very friendly, especially the 'gastvrouw' who introduced the menu to us. Unlike staffs in other Michelin-star restaurants, she's somewhat casual and added fun to the experience. We had 5-course menu with wine arrangement. One friend took non-fish alternative menu and she... More

Very fortunate to be taken here for a business dinner. What a great place, and not what you expect when you walk through the entrance of a museum to turn left into a bar. Great friendly and professional staff who deliver a great service. We went for the set 4 course menu that really hit the spot as it grew... More

What a great location for this restaurant. Beautiful building right on the river. Visited the Gold of the Gods exhibition while we were there and it was just fantastic. However we had a set menu dinner in the restaurant. The starter was seared tuna which was totally delicious and just perfectly cooked, main course was beef. Now I'm not a... More

Well I was invited for a business lunch at the wereldmuseum in Rotterdam. Well I know this restaurant for a while now but never have been there before. As a child I visited the museum but this was decades ago. It’s one of the most scenic neighborhoods in Rotterdam everything reminds you of the history of the brokers offices and... More

Having tried various restaurants in the city, I would say this is, without doubt, the best in a city filled with excellent eating places. Here, the service, quality of preparations, inventiveness, fine wine list guided by a passionate sommelier and the presentations were simply superb. Each dish at dinner was an elegant and flavorful treat, with gorgeous composition and finely-balanced... More

Don't miss. Wonderful place, excellent expositions and collection. Currently Gold of the Gods, which no one should miss. Great café.

The food was lovely, the wine was great and the service was excellent (and friendly, made you feel very comfortable). The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, amble room between tables and a lovely location beside the river. Best meal we have had in Rotterdam, thoroughly enjoyed it.

This restaurant is housed in the Wereldmuseum in beautiful period rooms. The tables are well spaced apart giving a very upmarket ambience. The menu is provided in English and there is both an à la carte and set menu. We chose to have a main course only but were provided with several amuse bouche before it arrived. The wine list... This museum defines what a boutique museum experience should be. Great art in a gorgeous building, views, a charming outdoor waterside café AND the most amazing restaurant that knocks your socks off. If only all museums "got it" the way the Wereld does. It's a jewel for the city of Rotterdam.

We have eaten at this restaurant a number of times over the past few years and have always been very happy with the service, quality of food, interest and diversity on the menu, choice of wines and general ambience. One complaint this time, albeit minor: we sat in a row of diners with very little room between the tables, which... More
