We ended up at Vis aan de Maas after trying to get a table at a dozen other retaurants in Rotterdam however we were late booking and every restaurant was full. One of our party had learned about Vis aan de Maas and upon calling them we found out they still had a table available. Well, when we arrived at... More

We revisited Vis aan de Maas recently. As always, the service is very friendly and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We were shown to our table and drinks orders were taken fast. There restaurant was not that busy, as only one room was open and was being served by 2 waitresses. However, it took... More

The ambiance is nice, so is the staff. Just expect to wait 90min for your food. This frustrated us alot!

An original location close to the river. Enjoyed a fair fish menu for reasonable prices. Place to remember!

Although it is famous for their Sea food dishes, I love this place for tapas and appetizers. They have a wide tasty selection of sea food tapas made Spanish style and fresh oysters. the main dishes are also very good but not special you can get the same taste in other excellent sea food places. My favorite is their lobsters.... More

Well worth finding your way to the end of Schiemond street for this restaurant. A little gem on the waterfront. We enjoyed the early evening sunshine with drinks and fresh bread served with Joan's aioli. We shared the carpaccio of monkfish (€15.00) to start. The dish was beautifully presented, with delicately carved fish, salad and capers. Mr B chose the... More

We went here during Restaurant Week and benefitted from a special deal, 3 course menu. First impression was one of a nice, cosy restaurant! Friendly staff, good atmosphere. The food did not disappoint - first course and dessert were amazing (a 'spekkoek' of salmon, cheese, pancake and after the main, a beautiful cheesecake with blueberries). Main course was also good,... More

This place is amazing because the food is immaculately prepared and the service is exquisite! It's central to everything, yet on its own down a sleepy dead end by the water. In any case, it's well worth the trip. The atmosphere is cozy and contemporary with charming photos of bygone Rotterdam maritime eras. One of the owners, a lovely, charming... More

I read all the comments left by the others trip advisor members and really wanted to go to this one. The restaurant was VERY cold. They didn't put their heater on.. and when we asked, they said that in Summer it is too hot and in Winter it is too cold. The service is VERY slow.. :( We were starving.... More
