After serving us drinks we were told some things on the menu would take too long to make and they would prefer us to go elsewhere because it was late. So we paid €10 for our half drank drinks and left. Totally bizarre way to run a business. Why not just say they were closed?

Quiet small place with good food. Menu is reasonably large, food is served pretty dast (but not too fast) Soups were OK, but not amazing. Pork ribs were good, oyster sauce beef - great, shrimps with cucumbers - good, shredded potatoes - not really (raw), eggplants - good (but too late) Prices are not low. Place is OK

Can you imagine one hour for a dish of spicy chicken? My wife and I went to this restaurant for a small dinner, including two main dishes and one soup. However, since we arrived at 18.30, one of the main dishes had been cooked. What a terrible speed, I will not recommand this restaurant, unless you have plenty of time... More

Honest, simple, fresh, northern style Chinese food - that's why I love this place. No mystery meats, no mystery sauces - truly honest cooking using fresh ingredients that you can clearly taste. I strongly recommend the sweet and sour pork is perhaps the best one I have ever had (and I've had sweet and sour pork in several countries including... More

This small Chinese restaurant is a truly hidden gem in the city. With a minimal staff 1 cook, 1 waiter and 1 dish washer) the waiting time was slightly long on a Friday night, but once the dish arrives, it is easy to take this waiting time for granted. My beef, cumin, onions and coriander was a delight and my... More

Its a small no frills place. The waiters don't talk English, the tables are slightly tacky. It almost looks like you have gone to a Chinese friends house for dinner. But once the food comes, it becomes awesome. Tasty Chinese food with a lot of flavors that you normally don't find in Europe. We had the starters of Croutons and... More

I have traveled a lot in asia and know probably all chinese restaurants n rotterdam, but this one by far is my favourite. Was really disapointed when i saw they closed earlier this year, but im happy they're back. My personal favourites are the beijing pizza, panncake and "chinese croutons with cabbage". Still looking for the chinese name for that... More

New renovation, new name of "Beijing Bao", Former name is ""Eethuis Bij Bao" in Rotterdam. Authentic North-east Chinese food, homemade, fresh, tasty and good value! Professional open kitchen, wooden tables, chairs and floors, wonderful paintings on the wall! Many choices from salad, soup to warm dishes. Handmade dumplings are very delicious. Price is quite reasonable. It's really worth to go with... More

The setting is simple, but fresh and clean - the food is delicious. We tried the dumplings (pork and fish, steamed and fried) - absolutely incredible. The mapu dofu was also really good and the spicy eggplant was fantastic. Not to miss!
