One member of staff in a quite full restaurant, who was pretty unfriendly and not very quick. Food was ok, but served very quickly and not, in my experience. very authenic Indonesian-wise. I doubt the member of staff was Indonesian. Won't go again, more of a cafe feel so will appeal to students and younger people as quite cheap.

We were in Rotterdam and my husband wanted a place with rice.. so we ended up here. I had first chosen the Vietnamese place down the street, but they didn't accept a credit card...this place did. There were three of us, and the food was enough for my two men's appetite. I wouldn't say it was outstanding, but it was... More

Went with a large group of 10 and had a very good time. The amount of food they brought out was obscene and much of it went uneaten. With a large group don't order for everyone. Three orders for every four people would be about right. The food was good and varied. Not sure how authentic it was having never... More

Unfriendly staff. Food has nothing to do with Indonesian food. My fried chicken was a fried piece of chicken without any taste and seasoning. Main dish does not come with rice. You are better of at KFC .

This place just lacks real authenticity of Indonesian food. It gives Indonesian food a bad name, with the over grilled satay meat for both my satay ayam kachang as well as soy chicken dish. The peanut sauce just simply tasted like melted skippy peanut butter while the soy sauce was so salty I had to down as much rice as... More

We lived in Indonesia for several years but were disappointed that the food here was not authentic. It was tasty and our Filipina waitress was helpful, especially with the free WiFi which she let us use as long as we wanted. Prices a bit steep.

We visited because it was recommended as a good place for food and because I am gluten intolerant and were mot disappointed. Except we did not realise there is two layers to the restaurant downstairs is quick food and where you go to try Indonesian food and upstairs is the restaurant but it was so nice we will go back... Went with my family. The rijstafel was really fine. Fun for the kids to have som many small dishes to choose from. Spicey and fresh food. Attentive service. Will come back some time again!

In the Centre of Rotterdam you find this little cosey restaurant with Indonesian food. When you walk on Coolsingel go around the corner. After walking nearly 5 minutes you reach the restaurant. Good & quick service Plate service with a lot of variaty. We visit this restaurant since four years several times a year. And we will continue for lunch... More

We really enjoyed our dinner at Satebar. We had wonderful service and the food was hot and delicious. There was a nice variety of vegetarian and meat dishes. Prices were very reasonable. Highlights included the chicken sate, the prawn chips, the gado gado, and the fried bananas.
