A 2-decade old real real family-run Italian eatery with heart

The building this restaurant is in looks brand new, and the facade might make you think that this is some chain or quickly thrown-together restaurant, but it is not that at all. It has actually been there for two decades, and is run by a family. There is continuous warm banter amongst all those... read more

Has become a regular haunt. Strange because the view is of the station and some of the food is 'interpretive' but the staff are charming and helpful and food always tasty. Sometimes a local interpretation of Italian but good. Pasta always pleased. Last weeks lamb cutlets delicious.

first visit in Rotterdam and near the Manhattan hotel...we didn't book but luckily only had to wait 20mins for a free table :) food was so tasty (risotto), wine smooth & rich (a beautiful sicilian wine) in a very friendly service from a passionate brother and sister - over 20 years in Rotterdam. Will defo go back and can't wait.

Local favourite for a long time. Hadn't been in at least one year, but service and food still great when I recently ate there again. Reservations a must as the place is always packed during lunch and dinner.Closed during the weekends, so be aware in order to avoid disappointments. Starters are tuna carpaccio, bruschetta or salad. Simple yet tasteful dishes.... More

I went there again this week for a business lunch, and the place remains my favorite. Very convenient to our office near the central station, this small, family run Sicilian restaurant is one of the few places I trust to have an Italian meal outside Italy, leaving very little to adaptation to local taste. Their selection of appetizers, first and... More

Visited this place yesterday, because of the great recommendations on tripadvisor. But it turned out to be a very bad decision to go there! Had to wait for 25 minutes to get a table, even with a booking. We had carpaccio with tuna/radiccio as startet and a spaghetti/ravioli as main course. All 4 dishes were of bad quality(cheap ham, tomatoes,... More

This place was recommended to us by The Manhattan Hotel and we were not disappointed. Very laid back atmosphere, great service from the owners and very impressed that they managed to find space for a table of 9 at short notice. We started with mixed antipasto followed by either meat or fish dishes. The food was good and the wine... More

Was staying at a hotel across the street for business and my colleague recommended the restaurant. It's also right next to the train station. The place is small but is very quaint. The mention is handwritten on a large chalkboard that they drag to your table. I wanted fish and the waitress was very helpful at making suggestions. I also... More

Try to get a seat, better make a reservation. The place is always packed.... Great food... They don't do pizza, but real nice pasta and others.
