We booked here for a party of five after checking out the reviews on various sites. Being Dutch myself I know my Indonesian food, and this little gem of a restaurants does not offer the bland flavours and overlarge portions you often find in the Dutch-Indonesian restaurants. The food was plenty but we wasted nothing; the flavours are proper Asian... More

Ate this place based on Trip Advisor ratings and it didn't disappoint. Great food - we had rice table for 4 and had multiple different dishes - all were exceptional. Prices were very reasonable. New location -Nieuwe Beestenmarkt 5. Google was very close to the right place. Highly recommend this place!

Warung means stall or eating shop in Indonesian. Usually selling the best of tasty food. "Sumatra House" is an upgraded warung, with the ambiance both of a restaurant and the best of food of a warung. Their "chicken satay" with black sweet soya sauce is yummy. Please order Sumatran Rendang (beef), shrimps with Petai Beans, and a spring beans vegetable... More

This venue was across the street from our Hotel (Rembrandt) and the staff here is so pleasant and accomodating. We like ristaffel, but it is so much food. Here they had a mini version. 2 meats, 2 veg, salad and rice on one plate plus the shrimp chips. Every bite was delicious! Good value.

At first sight this restaurant seems quite nice. This restaurant is situated just a few meters away from the main market place with the all the restaurants and animation. However it is also situated just beside a coffee shop (shop which sell drugs) which draws a lot of people and noise till 10 PM. The food was not to my... More

Came across this restaurant by accident and wasn't dissappointed. The menu (not surprisingly) is in Dutch and the staff's clutch of English not fantastic but we managed to order easily. The staff are attentive and always smiling which made for a comfortable welcome. We ordered the 3 specials to share and the food arrived looking fantastic. It tasted fantastic too!... More

Great place for take-away, but they also have 4 small tables to serve you. Tempe, tahu are excellent. Try the gado-gado!

First visit to this Indonesian shop is very positive. It's a small shop with a few seats a counter and open kitchen. There is a fair choice in dishes: vegetable, meat, vegetarian and fish (mackerel yummy!) Different styles of rice and noodles. The kitchen and the staff look clean. Staff serves with a lot of enthusiasm.
