Good for lunch

We liked the look of this place and it was well worth the visit. My wife and my youngest son both had the assorted fish parts - which was a lot better than it sounded, whilst my oldest son and I both went for the special of the day which consisted of white asparagus soup, a fried egg on toast... read more

Perfect steaks in truffle sauce, a tasty merlot, delicious puddings...chocolate ganache for him, syrup waffle parfait with caramel mousse for me. They even brought out a knowledgeable and very lovely Sommelier to choose my desert wine and explain the flavours. Our Chef was called George and we had a charming, friendly waitress called Nanda. By the time we sat down... More

These people altered a dessert to a gluten free version beautifully. Presentation was exquisite and delicious! Seating along the canal was also very nice.

You can get a free coffee here for each combo admission to the New and Old Churches in Delft. Of course we were obliged to share a delicious Dutch apple pie while we sat by the small canal and watched children and tourists cruise by.

The three course dinner was good and tasty and the price/quality ratio excellent. However, we have a few comments: (1) the price of a small glass of prosecco is almost twice the price of a bottle of prosecco; (2) the ventilation in the open kitchen is not optimal: one smells the various courses that are prepaired (particularly fish) in the... Entering this fantastic little restaurant, you walk past the kitchen and are warmly greeted by the chef. There is something great about meeting the person that us about to cook for you! :) Their menu is extensive, plus they have few daily specials that have definitely seduced us! The food is really good, the service super friendly, and the restaurant... More

Very nice small restaurant with an excellent menu. Food was good but prices were not low and waiter tried to push an extra in-between course which i would have assumed to be for free given the rest of the prices. Fine evening and suitable for business and pleasure

I first visited the Pijpenia about 12 years ago. Then, it was great. Now, it is still one of the great restaurants of Delft. The Pijpenia and Le Mariage are sister restaurants that share staff, and the kitchen to some extent. It works great. Both offer excellent quality food suitable for serious foodies, but both have completely different presentations and... More
