This French restaurant has a great menu card and is reasonably priced. The name pijpenla refers to the setup of the restaurant. A pijpenla is a drawer to put your pipes in and as such is not very broad. This restaurant lacks space so you have to be okay with sitting practically next to your neighboring table. If you have... Good atmosphere, very polite personnel, the food was wonderful and of large portions. Would revisit. Dishes: Duck with cherry sauce, Cod Fish Fillet with lobster sauce.

We come here quite often and have never been let down, the food is very tasty and the service is always good. For example: when we had a certain dish and didn't find a suitable wine the waitress offered to open up a wine that usually only sells by the bottle and let us taste before we ordered 2 glasses.... The atmosphere was great, the staff very polite, happy and friendly and the food delicious. We dined there twice: tomato soup, pork escalopes and apple pie first time: prawn croquette, sliced entrecote in pepper sauce, chocolate mousse with chocolate ice cream the second time. All scrumptious!

Spent an impromptu evening here with friends. Very surprised at the menu and the quality of the food.... Quite excellent and good value. The lamb was cooked to perfection. Only slight downside was the speed of service for the drinks, otherwise a good place for a cozy evening.

Very nice place in the center of Delft. Pleasant atmosphere, personal service. The menu will be enrolled in front of you to choose from a wide range of special dishes.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times and always loved it. It's located in a typical traditional Dutch house (pijpenla can be loosely translated as "shotgun house") and they want to keep it that way. They also serve some typical Dutch dishes (such as the Maasland beef with mashed potatoes) and their "mariage" starter, consisting of five... More

Classic with a nice tasty twist. Don't miss out on the assortment of starters. Only downpoint are the rather small tables.

Lovely looking place, liked starter very much but thought main was very dissapointing, over-cooked lamb. Also was put off by bits of meat (partly cooked) on shelf in window, not attractive when walking in, shame as looks lovely from outside. Maybe i was unlucky but wouldnt rush back as not great value.
