Truly the best lunchroom in Delft! My all time favourite is the ciabatta with lamb! Also, they serve the hot chocolate in a bowl. Gotta love the place!!

The Vrij has a nice atmosphere, the food is fresh and delicious and the service most of the times very friendly. It has a nice home made exotic herbal juice. The dishes advertised as Portuguese - as the chicken piri-piri or pastel de nata - are far from the original recipes, but still good taste. I got twice disappointed with... More

First of all, it is not Turkish. If you expect to have a traditional Turkish food, try to find another place. When I first went there, I resisted to have a pepper soup at breakfast. It is Turkish. The first time we ate there the food did not taste very good. My husband could not remember that we ate there. The second time we ate, we ordered and they only brought my husbands meal.

The atmosphere in this small café is great and the coffee excellent! To be here feels like being more than 1200 km to the South!

Vrij is in the heart of Delft. As such, it is a wee bit crowded but I never found it uncomfortable. This place can best be described with the somewhat untranslatable Dutch word "gezellig" (meaning something like cozy + accommodating + convivial + nice ambiance). I had the coffee, the Tapas lunch and a slice of apple tart. The coffee... More
