Good food at a great location

For a business meeting we picked a restaurant which was closed, so we walked around a little and found this restaurant, on the ground floor a informal city cafe and on the second floor formal dining. Located in a beautiful building with an open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. Both the... read more

The food wasn't looking that good. My order the specialty of meat was just too small, not well done as ordered and with a tiny piece of pie. The staff is a big careless and lost. The coffee ordered was served in a dirty cup. The experience was not good in my opinion.. to note that the restaurant have a... More

Great building - the buildings wooden beams demonstrate how big the trees used to be in Europe. The scales on the walls, tell the historic use of the building. Both meals I had were pretty good. Others had mussels and said they were great. Wait staff were very friendly - spoke English very well. Prepare for a relaxed meal. Small... More

Great welcome by staff and immediatly good contact. Table fast and welcome feeling in bourgondic atmosphere. First at the bar very good wine advise and story included. Food (mussles and sate) were well above expectations. Staff both serving and kitchen work together in a tremendously way: they are a team! Gin tonics afterwards were great and finalize a splendid evening... More

Next to the Town Hall in the historic part of Delft. The Stadscafe in this old weigh house is very busy and obviously popular with locals - usually a good sign. Our small group got tables upstars on the gallery in this high ceiled building, but they were more than worn and wobbly. The menu looks somewhat limited (about six... More

Although I entered the restaurant very late, I was served. The meal and drinks were served quickly. Nice to know for when you are alone at this restaurant: free Wifi!

Stadscafe de waag is agreat place to have good meal even with kids. You can have a simple relatively basic meal or have complete 3 course dinner with a goid wine. It,s locate in the heart of the old town off Delf. Were you can have a great walk to see the historici features of Delft.

Very nice atmosphere, perfect hamburger, fondue or salmon and break stew, good selection of beers. We enjoyed it very much!. The DeWaag classic burger is an absolute must. Although a bit pricy - ~ 15 € -, it's worth every cent. I'll repeat.

De waag has an old feel to it, but is bigger than de average brown cafe. The diner section around the regular cafe is a nice location to take in the atmosphere, while also talk to ones you're with. Good food, a very nice beer menu!
