Went to the Royal Delft factory and my wife asked for a recommendation for a simple lunch. De Waag was the recommendation and a good one it was. My eyes lit up when i saw Cream of Tomato soup and they had Grilled Cheese sandwiches. It was a very windy day in Delft and i did want anything heavy. They... More

The food, drinks and atmosphere are wonderful. I would definitely recommend steak and alternatively salmon. It was like feast.

De Waag (weigh house) is a well-known café/restaurant in the old town of Delft that I used to visit years ago. I remember its fine atmosphere with good glasses of beer as well as the crappy food. So I was curious to know what the restaurant had to offer in the year 2014. The menu was rather limited to "fixed"... More

Stadscafe De Waag is the perfect spot to have something to eat on a friday. It's always busy and the food is good, nothing special, but perfect for a informal night out in Delft with family or friends. The staff is very friendly and they are willing to do something extra if you ask. Oh, and they have a nice... More

went here for a casual dinner on a Tuesday night. The place was full of just graduated people, business men on a night over in town and people like us, having a casual dinner with the family. The Waag is a true food serving pub with the Dutch favourites on the menu; chicken satay with peanut sauce, steak, burger, etc.... More

There are 2 restaurants in this beautiful, historic building. Downstairs is informal and moderately priced. Upstairs you will get an excellent tasting menu. Your only choice is 3, 4 or 5 courses, fish, meat, fish and meat, or vegetarian and the wines. We were stuffed after 3 courses with fish and meat, every bite a treat and the wines a... More

Nice old cafe but spacious in the heart of Delft that was the former weigh station. One can marvel at the old timber beams as you enjoy an assortment of sandwiches, soups, and salads. Great wait staff who get busy at time but always keep their sense of humor. When the weather is good you can sit out on the... More

Tucked into the former weighing house of Delft, we enjoyed excellent beers to accompany a mullet appetizer and veal entrees. Just off the main market square.

We stopped in here on several occasions for an Irish coffee later in the evening. The ambience is great and the drinks were excellent. We're not sure about the food.
