Excellent restaurant with attentive and knowledgeable staff serving fine dining food. The evening was part of a package from the B&B Poorthuys which provided us with an exceptional meal for our celebration, I would recommend it without reservation.

We had a very good dinner. Fine food and nice choice of wine. The service was also very pleasant. The only reason I did not give a higher rank is the lack or poor climate control. This summer evening was very warm.

We spent a great evening in this nice restaurant located in the centre of Middelburg. The food is delicious, imaginative with fresh ingredients and offers a great mixture of land- and seafood. Nice wine menue with an international of not overpriced wines. When we arrived there was a mess-up with the reservation but a solution was quickly found and we... More

My partner & myself stumbled across Number 7 restaurant after the eaterie we had originally planned to visit was closed. What a find! From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warmth & hospitality second to none. To begin with, we found the service a little slow, but soon "tuned in" to the ambience and felt... More

We enjoy very much going to this restaurant. The food is good, the atmosphere superb. Small restaurant, old style, very cosy. The portions are a bit too small for me, I'm a big eater. It's a pitty still to be a bit hungry when you leave the restaurant. Nevertheless, I love to go there with my wife and I will... More

I was recommended this place and without even trying it myself I decided to celebrate my birthday dinner here with a group of different nationalities, but all real foodies, who have traveled the world and spent a lot of time eating in restaurants. No specific expectations when I booked the 7-course tasting menu with a focus on local food. Given... More

Selected almost at random on our first night in the Netherlands, this turned out to be a good find. The five-plate menu seems to be the fashion at upmarket Dutch restaurants now: this was proper food, well-cooked, served efficiently and in friendly manner. Not cheap, but worth it.

I can not disagree more with some previous comments! We had an 5 plate menu and it was just perfect. Ok, for the first plate we had to wait some time but after all it was worth it! The owner is a real foody and has some very good wines. If you like fine cuisine this place is a must... More

I selected this restaurant on the basis of how it looked from the street and the menu to bring a colleague from out of town. When we arrived, the choise window table was at our disposal and there were no other tables close. Quiet, understated, elegant sum up the atmosphere. Excellent linens and cutlery. The hostess/waitress (perhaps an owner) was... More

Lovely looking restaurant, but understaffed and food not as described. Waited two hours for meal after ordering -three of us at one of ten tables, only three other tables occupied. No bread. no attentiveness. When my "half lobster" arrived, it consisted of one naked lobster claw on a plate- nothing else. My friends "veal with bearnaise sauce and gnocchi" arrived... More
