This is a nice place to have dinner. It really has the ambiance of a typical brasserie, and offers really great food. The price is nice, and it's in the centre of the town. What more could you want?

Fabulous conversion from a church makes an interesting building with a buzzing atmosphere. Amazing selection of beers to choose from. Menu quite small and food is fine. The waffle with hot cherries for desert was scrummy.

A wonderful building (converted church) and good beer selection do not make this a great cafe. It is too loud to speak, the service is painfully slow (even by Dutch standards) and the food is massively overpriced for what you get. Pop in, walk around, check out the scenery and leave.

Café Olivier (pronounce the French way) is a former city church know a Maria Minor. It's a very pleasant and large bar-bistro now, mostly visited by student and post-student people who enjoy the buzz of a large room filled with people enjoyimg their drinks, food and company. Expect a crowded place, which in my opinion is the most charming of... More

A hidden gem in Utrecht. Olivier's is housed in a former hidden church with a wide range of Belgian beers and a varied lunch menu... We had Croque Monsieur. Delicious !! Thoroughly recommend this venue for a tasty lunch in unusual surroundings.

Amazing atmosphere in the old church. Enjoyed a nice beef stew which was a great choice when the autumn had arrived. Great selection of beers, and plus for beer recomendations for each dish

I like the atmosphere of a bar in an old church. You don't expect it to be so big when you stand outside. The food is also good. I visited several times both for drinks and lunch.

Found this little gem on the way to the station after a good night. Anyone that likes "spoons" will get on here. The beers cheap and good and the local ladies are unbelievably attractive. Overall very good, however the noise of conversation was a little overbearing.

Having heard so many people recommending Olivier we gave it a try last night. The outside is very deceptive, as once you go in it's a huge church interior with a massive organ on the upper level at the back of the restaurant. You can eat or just drink, and we did both! We ordered the Ham Hock, and it... More
