We loved it!! The food was fantastic, the presentation super impressive, the service excellent, the location unexpected. Quite pricey, but quite an experience... www.bestregardsfromfar.wordpress.com

We went here with a groupon for a 7 course tasting menu for our 2nd anniversary. The host was super friendly (and accommodating in both Dutch and English). We got to pick our seats on the deck of the boat. We got 2 extra courses of amuses before starting the 7 course tasting meal, and all the food was inventive,... More

Very special restaurant located in the old harbour of the beautiful medieval city of Amersfoort. Enjoy this old freight ship with its modern cosy interior. Cooking is on a very high level as the chef is a pupil of "the librije" and has his own signature. Your hostess wil give you a warm welcome and has a pleasure in serving... More

We ate at De Saffraan with great pleasure. The creative food fits with the extraordinary restaurant. We'd go back whenever we're near to Amersfoort.

The restaurant is situated in a cosy antique vessel near the city center of Amersfoort, the interior has recently been decorated in a modern and stylish fashion. For warmer periods there is also a terrace on deck. On Boxing Day when we visited De Saffraan we were served an eight course meal. All dishes were to the largest extent possible... More
