Wonderful 16th century building.

Amazing night! Right in the Centre of Haarlem in a 16th century building, very atmospheric, houses this excellent restaurant. We have the Tasting done in 7 rounds, with matching wines. The seven subsequent corridors were all works of art to see and very good. Especially the amount of different and... read more

We were with 6 persons: my wife, my adult children and their partners. My wife can not handle seafood in any form, but that was no problem for the kitchen and you could not see that one was without fish. We had 5 courses of the possible 7 and each course was an excellent piece of kitchen work. Amazing the... More

7 course tasting menu was absolutely wonderful, they should have more than one michelin star every course was beautifully presented and brought to your table by the chefs and explained what was on plate. front of house staff were also 1st class.

Set in a beautiful location in the center of Haarlem. Food is amazing. Every course is like a journey. If you want to go somrwhere special this is the place to go. Chef Marc Gratama is a selfmade chef.

All you can wish from a restaurant with one Michelin star. We had the 7 courses tasting menu that offers many different specialties. I liked the very fresh fish such as the Dutch lobster. Look at my pictures to get an impression on the beautiful arrangements. We had the wine combination and all the wines were really good and matching... More

Had a 6-course meal which was great, full of several explosions of different kindes of tast. Being a non-alcohol drinker I have no comments on the wines. The service is relaxed, not too stif. Seemes to me a lunch in the garden in summer would be charming. I'll came again!

The food was really nice and we enjoyed the 8 courses very much. We asked for pairing wines with each course. The quality of the wines was really disappointing. They did not combine well with the food (pinot noir with sea bass?), the taste was mediocre and the explanation why the wines were chosen with the dishes was not given.

De food and service is always great. For a michelin star restaurant the prices are also fair. I love their meat. It is always realy soft. They have nice fish. The only downside is that if you eat there a lot the suprise menu is not so suprising anymore. They tend to be the same. They have a nice garden... More

Set in an old building in Haarlem - lovely ambience - friendly efficient staff - good service - staff very knowledgeable in regard to the food and wine being served. Ask for an assiete of wines to compliment the taster menu. If you want to try something a little bit different Ican certainly recommend this restaurant.
