Been here quite a few times when in Amsterdam. The beer is excellent (primarily why I've visited!). They have all of the Jopen brews together with some other local rarities and the beer is always fresh - in fact you can see then brewing it on the premises!! I had the Chicken Caesar Salad last time and that was amazing,... More

We were here for a quick lunch (and a beer). The food was good, and so was the service. We really liked the atmosphere and the look of the place. The beer was excellent, and seeing the big barrels around us made it even better :D Highly recommended if you are there.

The former Jacobuskerk in Haarlem was converted into a Microbrewery bar in 2005. A modern bar with the Jopen beer brewing tanks behind the bar, the bar retains much of the former church's features. This means the beer is as fresh as it can possibly be! The beer is absolute top quality, with a wide selection of beers, from Hop... More

We stopped by for a beer and a light lunch -- the beers (IPA and Bock) were both good -- and the pea soup (of the day) good, though a bit pricey compared to other soups. If we were again in the area, we would stop by.

This place looks amazing but we found the food very bland and the service terrible. On the up side, great beers on tap and bottles.

Great ambiance with wonderfull old church details mixing up with the coppor elements of a brouwery. Excellent tasting beers and interesting cousine.

The building is a beautiful renovated church, the copper beer vats and piping are really eye catching but that is as far as it goes. They serve only boutique beers which no-one in our large group liked and the noise from screaming kids running around was enough to make us leave.

A friend took me to Jopenkerk for a beer tasting. It was still a fairly quiet time of day when visited so the barman was able to give us an awesome beer tasting. He explained each beer and how it was brewed. As we sat at the bar we could see people adding ingredients to the kettles. The beer was... More

Lively place -almost every day of the week- to have a good beer. Obviously they serve all kinds of Jopen beer, but as well some other nice local beers from (micro)breweries, which are well worth trying. Beautiful interior in former church. Option to have dinner, pub food, as well, didn't try yet so no remarks on that. Other restaurant options... More
