Nice ending to our day in Haarlem

We went to Jopenkerk at the end of our day out touring. We enjoyed all of the unique options of beers. Our server was Ivana and she was great. We weren't sure what kind of beers to try, so she asked what kind of beer we liked and she brought us flights to try. She brought everyone a bit different... read more

This was a little bit unplanned visit, just one or two beers and it turned out to be perfect place, no matter whether you want to taste beer or have dinner. They change menu seasonally and every dish is perfectly paired with beer, since there are around 20 of them. And even if you are not a beer lover, you... More

Incredible selection of beer paired with food. The scenery is amazing, a revamped church in the center of Haarlem turned into a micro-brewery. Stained glass windows, polished brass kettles, plumes of steam/water vapour. Just a wonderful place to be in and enjoy a sumptuous time. The price quality ratio is very good indeed. Food downstairs is typical finger food, upstairs... More

We went there for beer tasting. We went out in a very good mood but hungry unfortunately. If you are not fond of dutch cuisine then it is an issue. Btw place look awseomwe with live music and the smell of beer production.

Even if you are no beer lover, like me, you will enjoy a nice cold white beer here in summer time. The square is filled with tables and on a sultry night you will certainly enjoy Haarlem here. Food is nice too,but obviously not their core business. But hey, who needs food when there is beer?

Really cool early 19th century church where the brew local beer recipes that date back to 1400. The modern interior combined with the old church really brings it till life. Inside you can see the big huge beer brew kettle's begind teh bar. Staff is friendly and the have a pleasant terrace and the place is also very child friendly.... More

Been here quite a few times when in Amsterdam. The beer is excellent (primarily why I've visited!). They have all of the Jopen brews together with some other local rarities and the beer is always fresh - in fact you can see then brewing it on the premises!! I had the Chicken Caesar Salad last time and that was amazing,... More

We were here for a quick lunch (and a beer). The food was good, and so was the service. We really liked the atmosphere and the look of the place. The beer was excellent, and seeing the big barrels around us made it even better :D Highly recommended if you are there.

The former Jacobuskerk in Haarlem was converted into a Microbrewery bar in 2005. A modern bar with the Jopen beer brewing tanks behind the bar, the bar retains much of the former church's features. This means the beer is as fresh as it can possibly be! The beer is absolute top quality, with a wide selection of beers, from Hop... More

We stopped by for a beer and a light lunch -- the beers (IPA and Bock) were both good -- and the pea soup (of the day) good, though a bit pricey compared to other soups. If we were again in the area, we would stop by.
