Excelent food and atmosphere!

In a very cozy restaurant facing the port canal, full of nice models of ship (from small size to big one) we enjoy mussels (ask for white dry wine, it was good), code and probably the best poffertjes we had never had. Enjoy!

I've been there with my family. We waited for the kids food for about 30 minutes. Nothing was really good. The king prawns was so lame, and it's price was around 20 euro! We were also billed for ketchup 1 euro and for a bottle of water 5. Worst value for money I've met for a long while

We had dinner here with 5 people. There was not enough staff and it was very busy. This resulted in sloppy service and a very long wait for the main dishes: more than an hour. We were not offered an apology but were only steered towards ordering an other drink whilst waiting. Food was nothing special. Never again.

Found this by accident, looked at the menu and decided to give it a try. Glad we did the fish stew was amazing and so was the flounder and salmon. The inside is very well done and the service was very good.

Perhaps the staff are new, but I tend to think that people who complain about the service are saying more about themselves than the restaurant. Certainly we much enjoyed every aspect of our meal and the service. The mussels were especially good and the beer excellent.

we Always have a nice dinner in this restaurant and the people are very friendly. when we were married for 40 years, we got this very nice desert with the letters 40 years in chocolate. in summertime you can sit outside and have a glass of wine and look at all the tourists who walk by.

We wanted to go to a fish restaurant whilst staying in Enkhuisen. We naturally looked in trip advisor and ended up in the Markerwaard. I must say, the complaints about sloopy service were in my opinion, completely unfounded. We didn't order a starter so it did take about half an hour until our meal arrived, but I think this is... Visited here on our first night in Enkhuizen. The staff were welcoming and friendly, even to us English-speakers. The food was really well cooked and came with a great range of accompaniments. They also had a good range of beer on offer. The atmosphere was a good balance of lively and local.

The food was nice but my partner and I both found our waitress to be quite rude. Despite having an English menu up outside the restaurant, we found the staff to be less than accommodating towards non Dutch-speakers.

We ate here on our first night in Enkhuizen because it had an English version of the menu, and we wanted a nice relaxing start. Unfortunately, that was not to be. On entering the restaurant and asking for a table, the only English-speaking waitress told us, in a most disparaging tone, that she "supposed" we could have the last table.... More
