It started off promising with some good garlic butter and soft bread, the lentil soup was tasty, but then it all fell apart. Chicken gyros that were cold, moussaka that was hot but tasteless and a less than personable owner. I left feeling rather ill.

We came across this restaurant by chance (be prepared to 'run the gauntlet' from other restaurants owners plying their trade) One of the things we liked, was that no one was trying to drag us inside and we had time to peruse the menu. The chef quietly welcoming us and |i must say, his food was outstanding. Hubby and I... More

We fancied some Greek food and entered at our peril. Ordered a fixed menu for two. Were served some potted greek sauces with vine leaves that were so old they had dried out. After this awful starter we should have left but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Before our main came, the greasy, unshaven, dirty waiter... More

The food is frozen and the overall quality is very bad. The stuff is rude and I've never seen the waiters teeth's. Spanakopitas were horrible and sour. One of the worse tourist traps I have ever set my foot on. Avoid this place!

My friends and I wanted to have a dinner in a restaurant not far from our hotel, because we were tired, we were a party of ten and it was raining. Zorba seemed to be a good choice. We ordered as starter: hummus that was extremely garlicky. Main courses were: grilled salmon with salad and fries, and I asked for... More

I have eaten much better gyros. The service was friendly and the prices wasn't high. Its in a good location close to Amsterdam main attractions.

Reading the previous reviews of this restaurant I can't really understand. My girlfriend and I found the food to be lovely. Convinced to go in off the street from the owner who was both friendly and quite charismatic. The sea bass was beautifully cooked and service was quick. Only quibble was that I ordered swordfish and it took nearly ten... More

Went in to this place as it was raining heavily and didn't want to go too far. The waiter/owner seemed friendly enough and we ordered some starters and some lamb souvlaki thinking we'd be in for a real feast. Starters were bland and tasteless, pretty much the same plain boiled rice and mince stuffed into vine leaves and a soggy... More

Tried this place on a Sat evening when a rainshower chased us under their awning. House wine was not very good. Calamari was large rings of very tough squid. I ordered the gyros and was surprised that no pita is served with them. Just overcooked meat of some type (don't think it was lamb) that seemed to come from the... More

I opted for one of the "menus" that was on the list, with a mixture of samples of different plates such as gyros (roasted meat with tzatziki), moussaka (the eggplant casserole), souvlaki (mixed meat), etc. With the soup of the day (tomato in this case), which was creamy and tasty. The food was quite good, the quantity more than enough... More
