I came here on a Sunday in July 2014. I had a fantastic ham and cheese omellette with a tasty fresh salad. I wanted some cheesy chips and although this wasn't on the menu the waiter kindly arranged for some cheese to be sprinkled on top. This was accompanied by some nice mayonnaise and decent coffee. The environment inside is... More

My friend and I were walking around, tired we decided to grab something small to eat and have a drink. We sat outside right next to the canal which allowed for great ambiance. I enjoyed this place already. I then ordered a traditional Dutch appetizer(which I forget the name) but they were deep fried bread balls filled with some type... More

I stumbled into Walem after a long walk around Amsterdam just because I was desperate to sit down! I was glad I did because even on a budget, I had a great lunch and didn't feel the usual anxiety about being on my own as there were plenty of others there who were eating solo too. I ended up using... More

We stumbled across this place and loved it so much we went back the next night. This is such a great place. The food is amazing. It's right on one of the canals so great for a sunny afternoon or evening. After paying far too much for a couple of crappy meals, this place was a breath of fresh air!... More

Tasty food and good service at a central location. Enjoyable especially on sunny days when you can sit by the canal and enjoy the day!

I think they have the best tasty carrot-beets shake and sandwiches in town. Be nice to the staff and they will be nice to you, but don't expect American service or German hospitality, it's Amsterdam... ;-) For me it's a great place to have lunch, but you have to be there at eiter 12:00 o'clock or after 13:30 hours to... Walem is next to Morlang. These 2 cafe restaurants both have their charm and reasons to visit. The kitchen of neighbour Morlang is by far better. Still there are good reasons to go to Walem. Unfortunately Walem suffers for years with a problem to do with sewers below the building. At some moments there is no smell and at other... More

Travelled from London to meet up with friends visiting from Bali and on Sunday we ventured out for brunch to stumble upon this restaurant. It turned out to be a great choice. Although restaurant did not look very busy we dined on some excellent salads with pleasant service. The tables outside by the canal were a little too windy for... More

This is an exMple of real bad service. The location at the Keizersgracht is nice. But they should dismiss the entire staff. Food is reasonable if you are able to get sevice. Skip this place and go to the neighbour Morlang. Better service and better food
