Description: Inspired by the characteristic brasseries in Brussels and Paris, Brasserie...
Inspired by the characteristic brasseries in Brussels and Paris, Brasserie Bark is a lively seafood restaurant in Amsterdam's museum quarter. On the menu you'll find an assortment of fish and seafood dishes, from oysters to lobster, salmon to sole and even swordfish. The house speciality is the 'fruits de mer', an impressive selection of shellfish served over ice. The restaurant takes particular pride in only using fresh produce, which means that the menu changes 5-6 times a year, according to the season. Rather unusually for a restaurant in Amsterdam, Brasserie Bark stays open until midnight, so whether you are going for an informal dinner or business meeting, time need not be an issue.

We went to the Bark by the recommendation of our hotel staff and were happy with the choice. It was not too touristic, full of locals, and it was a definite advantage. We ordered an assiette des fruits de mer (be careful with the size, the smallest one is more than enough for 2 persons), followed by redfish and sea... More

Located in the heart of Amsterdam, the Bark seems to be very popular among locals. We picked it just because very closed to our hotel and it was indeed a lucky choice. We, a group of three, ordered different meals and we were all happy with what we had. My vegetarian tartar was good, but my mushroom pie was absolutely... More

We were invited to have dinner here with my eldery parents, and were accompanied by our teenage children. The fish was super fresh, a large selection of it to all tastes, and the service was outstanding! Definitely a must go in the concert building area!

We were recommended the Bark during a recent visit to Amsterdam and it lived up to expectations very well. The seafood selection is excellent and the service very friendly and helpful. The bouillabase is, apparently, one of their most favourite dishes and I can understand why - it is delicious.

We ate at Bark 4 years ago on our first trip to Amsterdam and really enjoyed it. Our return on this trip was every bit as good. Moules and Frites were excellent and the service was appropriately attentive. The house Cote de Rhone was very drinkable. Just wish the weather had been nice enough to sit at an outdoor table.... We had just arrived and were very tired, so we chose a place close to our B&B. We were not disappointed, The sea bass, avocado salad and mushroom soup were all very good, as was the glass of Rose we shared. The warm cherry dessert in a heavy cherry sauce was amazing. Service was very attentive. My wife and I... More

We ordered Fruit de mer and redfish filet with tomato-basil source. Both were very tasty. Especially, Soup of Fruit de mer (soup) was very delicious, not so salty.

Five different preparations of salmon and a Gorgonzola salad to start - Cat Fish and a fillet of plaice for main. Three glasses of Sauvignon Blanc and a bottle of water - EUR 75. Very nice although the service was a little slow. Nice outside dining if the weather was a bit warmer. Highly recommended.

A small restaurant with a very nice selection of seafood. Lobster (Maine) is a specialty and available hot or cold. Dover sole is excellent (and expensive)
