Inspired by the characteristic brasseries in Brussels and Paris, Brasserie Bark is a lively seafood restaurant in Amsterdam's museum quarter. very good fish restaurant close to rijksmuseum and concertgebouw

nice welcome. Service very good and friendly but needed reminding about water and bill. Warm lobster and bouillabaisse delicious. Fine fat oysters. House white very drinkable. Will definitely go next time in Amsterdam.

Brasserie Bark is a stylish restaurant with a modern decor. It is near to the Concertgebouw and you should consider this when reserving and arrive after the concert has begun at 7:30. It specializes in fish and seafood, and does this very well. The wine list is very reasonably priced and encourages you to try a good bottle. Overall, quality... More

This restaurant is within walking distance of our house (but also the Concertgebouw and several major museums in Amsterdam). They specialize in fish so I had the Bouillabaisse, my husband had the swordfish and our friends had the lobster. The restaurant is lovely and very modern, but after we left we realized it wasn't super cozy like many of the... More

About to be refitted, so hurry to this lovely time warp of a 1980s seafood restaurant. The cooking is up to date, the quality splendid, the service the same. Not only serving rock oysters, they also serve the natives from South West Holland, tip top quality. The lobsters were sadly all from Canada, so don't bother with those - try... More

Considering this is a specialist seafood restaurant it was very average. We only had main meals and the cheese board after. My husband had lobster which was very small, I had the sea bass which was okay but it came with very little else all of which seemed like an after thought. The cheese board was an absolute joke at... When we arrived we had to wait quit long to order drinks and even longer befor they were served....For starters, the Chicken soup did'nt taste much, the salmon was ok. When we were asked about the starters and my company said that she did'nt like the soup she got an arrogant look from the waiter who asked "why?" The main... More

We went to the Bark by the recommendation of our hotel staff and were happy with the choice. It was not too touristic, full of locals, and it was a definite advantage. We ordered an assiette des fruits de mer (be careful with the size, the smallest one is more than enough for 2 persons), followed by redfish and sea... More

Located in the heart of Amsterdam, the Bark seems to be very popular among locals. We picked it just because very closed to our hotel and it was indeed a lucky choice. We, a group of three, ordered different meals and we were all happy with what we had. My vegetarian tartar was good, but my mushroom pie was absolutely... More

We were invited to have dinner here with my eldery parents, and were accompanied by our teenage children. The fish was super fresh, a large selection of it to all tastes, and the service was outstanding! Definitely a must go in the concert building area!

We were recommended the Bark during a recent visit to Amsterdam and it lived up to expectations very well. The seafood selection is excellent and the service very friendly and helpful. The bouillabase is, apparently, one of their most favourite dishes and I can understand why - it is delicious.
